Not like 4 star hotel. Bathroom facility is bad.
- Business travel
The staffs was not as friendly as other 4 stars hotel that I stayed before. They don’t provide shower gel or bath gel. The towels were very clean and soft which is a surplus. The lights in the room is quite dim. There was not a good place to apply makeup. Plenty of mirrors, poor lightings. Ordered room service, it took them nearly an hour to serve
The water pressure very low and the hot water was way too high

Average hotel but it's new.
Stayed here due to a convention held at MIECC but rather disappointed after get into our room. Hotel location average but it's link to Viva mall with quite a variety of stuff incl cafes. Hotel quite new and trendy look but overall hotel staff service not upto standard as response slow or do not respond. Our room was spacious but there are only 2 power points when 1 has to be used for kettle too. Toilet roll was not a full roll and same for tissue box. Bath drainage bad and it will flood badly overflowing to outside of bathroom. We called hotel to ask for additional toilet rolls as well as get help to resolve the choke but nothing was done when we returned to our room at 11pm! We left it as it is then but will not return to this hotel. Breakfast spread average and refill was slow too.

Being new and affordable are the only reasons to stay here
First impressions of the hotel are good, where you can see attempts at creating a unique interior both at the lobby and bedrooms, which are relatively big. But as with any new hotels in the market, especially in Malaysia, the ambition to be a good hotel is eventually eroded by the lack in service and maintenance standards. Let's start with service, of which there were many issues during my stay. First off, I arrived late in the evening and was tired from my flight and long car ride. Instead of being welcomed by a friendly face, it was as if the check-in staff was the one who just arrived. He appeared dull, was unfriendly, and never even welcomed his guest. Being late, I just wanted to get to my room to rest and didn't want to kick up a fuss. Yet lo and behold, when I arrived at the room, it was a twin room when I have requested for a King. When I called the reception, I was told only twin rooms are available. Firstly, he was being lazy and lied because upon pushing and complaining that my reservation was confirmed for King, he eventually changed my room. Second, if my reservation was indeed not available, he should have informed me at check-in. Very unprofessional. Then there's the issue with calling for room service. As with my experience at check-in, the front desk staff answering the call was unfriendly and sounded almost as if they're being bothered with the call. I am ordering food which adds to my expenses at the hotel for goodness' sake. To be fair, the restaurant staff who eventually took my order was very polite and friendly, though I had to repeated myself 3 times to get my order right. Which brings me to my third point. Communication. Even though Kuala Lumpur is known to be a cosmopolitan city with its people proficient in English, unless you are staying at Hilton and the likes, expect that many of its hotels to still have issues with its staff communicating in English. I had issues with ordering my eggs at breakfast. The cook, who couldn't understand English, after done with my eggs, just said to me "get plate" in a rude manner. And then I even had issues complaining to the manager about the bad service at the egg station - he had issues following what I was saying and asked me to slow down when I was speaking normally. Lastly, maintenance. The hotel is relatively well designed but it is obvious that it is already starting to age. An example would be simple things such as table mats at the restaurant and how it's furniture have been maintained, or the lack thereof. It's starting to look like one of the coffee shops in the streets. All in all, the only reason I had stayed at Vivatel was because my client had booked me here for ease of traveling for our meeting. For other travelers looking for a stay in KL, if affordable pricing and relatively good and clean rooms are what you're looking for, then Vivatel is a really good choice. However, if you expect good service, then pay a little more and stay at Traders, Hilton etc.

Hotel yang menyenangkan
Very big room in 7th floor, staff so good, good breakfast (the croissant so delicious), great experience stay here for 3 days. When I've got the problem with electricity in 11pm, the technician can help to fixed it. I am really happy to stay here. Even little far from Bukit Bintang but it was okay, just some minutes by car to get there.

Good hotel, need few improvements
Good and well maintained property. We organized an event of 40 people and all in all good experience. Attention on few part required. - Hotel seemed popular for events as they even placed round dining tables in the entire lobby (to accommodate more guests) area due to which the whole ambiance of the lobby suffered. Frankly, due to this my first impression when landed was not very good. - They even charge for lost magnetic room key cards which I was something first I faced. - Room tiles have some spots and needs to be cleaned as it looks really bad. - WiFi connectivity needs improvement.

It's alright
Nice hotel, room was nice. Bed was comfortable. We had a good view of the petronas towers. It is also conveniently linked to a mall. Only complaint is - we could hear the elevator music from the hallway in the bedroom.
