Room was not throughly clean, they had a bunch of mosquitoes inside the room, my room did not had a phone, I had to call the front desk using my cell phone for room service, lights inside the room did not work, room smelled like sewage. And the list goes on. I've stayed in this hotel many times and this has been the worst experience so far. Clearly the rooms are in decay, and do not match the prices anymore.

My first night I had a family member sick and we want to sleep in different beds so I call front desk requesting an additional bed and they told me that they didn’t have additional beds. So the next day I called to request it again and they never brought it. So I was very disappointed at that. I find it hard to believe that two days in a row they have no extra beds..

I stay on this hotel several times but this time was a lot different and what make me do this review was that was mosquitos inside the room I kill at least 4 in the morning when I wake up I was stung several times in several parts of my body plus in the morning was more mosquitos in top of that the A/C unit was not keeping up with the temperature in the room the room was on the warm side plus humidity When I checking out was not ask how was my staying on nothing just if I pay for my room the was weird

For years I have been staying at Lucerna, nowadays I travel to Mexicali once or twice a month and unless they are sold out, this hotel will always be my only choice. The staff is great and so the bars and restaurants.

This place is a gem. The bungalows are charming and the whole place is fabulous. The staff, from manager down, are charming, helpful, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Would absolutely stay here again.

The friendly staff were the only good part of this experience. The pool looked dirty, the rooms were unkept, and our AC broke, forcing a room change at midnight. It was an underwhelming stay for what we paid.
