We stayed one night here. The hotel is situated just outside the main centre of Luderitz but is easily walkable. The room looked directly onto the sea. It is a modernish hotel. We did not use the pool area which appeared closed as the weather was not good enough. We ate in the restaurant which was amazing - wonderful seafood. Breakfast was very good the next day too.

I usually write some cons about hotels I have stayed in, but I really can't think of any this time. The location is great, overlooking the ocean; the restaurant was great - the food was fine for both dinner and breakfast. The staff were helpful and courteous. Highly recommended.

A beautiful hotel, set in a lovely position. The staff are friendly and attentive. Kevin was brilliant ( porter, car washer, and seemed to know everything) Mikael in the restaurant was brilliant to. In the bar Pepie ( sorry not sure how his name was spelt) he was helpful and friendly too.

Over the years we have seen many hotels around the world. For the past 12 years we have always been drawn to the Nest Hotel while traveling in South Africa and Namibia. It is our considered opinion that this is one of the very best hotels of any class or price range. Ulf Grünewald has created a true miracle in this harsh spot, an oasis in the desert. The rooms are perfect, the view from your balcony over the ocean is fantastic from a few meters above the water level. Breakfast, meals, and service in the restaurant are flawless. Everytime we leave we cannot imagine that anything could possibly be improved, only to discover on the next trip that Ulf and Daniela have managed to raise the bar even higher. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Business travel under Covid is not fun and working conditions for the providers are tough right now, I understand. While the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the property is appearing a bit tired and dated. Our pillows, 4 of them, were as flat as pancakes and provided no support, and we could have done with 2 bedside tables instead of one bedside table and a chair. The view from our room was lovely, as was seeing and hearing 2 Black Oystercatchers on the rocks in front of the room. We particularly liked that there were notices on the tables in the dining room requesting cell phones to be on silent in consideration of guests.

The best hotel in Luderitz. Walking distance to Barrels and the Portuguese Restaurant.
The hotel kitchen itself is a bit over priced but the food is still good and staff mostly friendly. (Except for the one who I asked if they had Honey at breakfast and then chidingly took me to the condiments area next to the bread and showed me it. I had not been past the condiments area and a simple “Yes sir it’s there next to the bread in the condiments area” would of sufficed without the eye roll and attitude)
Beds are single beds in a twin room and a bit narrow and hard but still slept well.
Bar staff super friendly.

Nice sea view from the room, delicious seafood in the menu and friendly staff.
Owner took me in a private tour with his car and showed me around de suburbs, and giving me a lot of extra information about the town. I really appreciated that !!!

Lüderitz was a complete surprise to us. During our Trip somebody recommended Colmanscope for fotographie but Lüderitz has much more to offer / Diaz point ( sunset) very beautiful - south all Diamond Area need permission in town to go - well worth it.
