From the moment we arrived we were a bit thrown off. The lobby was full of guests waiting to check in but the desk clerk would not process anyone before 3pm, even though rooms were obviously ready. So we waited in a long queue, with only one person working, to finally get checked in. This is not how you want to start your stay, especially after a long day of travel. We were in Tromso celebrating my husband's birthday so I opted for a room upgrade at a cost of an extra $220 for 3 nights, bringing our grand total to $1320. To say the room was not worth that price is an understatement. Small, dingy, ourdated and unclean. We had a small balcony, but it was covered in snow, so were tracking snow in and out of the room. Also, I had advised we were coming for a special occasion and the hotel offered no gesture, which is surprising and disappointing. The hotel offered meals which is convenient for some guests. The breakfast seemed reasonable but the dinner was a sad affair. On our last night, they served chicken egg rolls as a main course. There was a roof top jacuzzi but, not only did you have to reserve time in 30 minute blocks, you had to pay for it! When we checked out, I expressed my disappointment and also showed photos of the room's poor condition. The staff person refunded me $60. What an insult! If you can find alternate accommodations in Tromso, take it.

Amazing location and the room was very clean upon arrival. Housekeeping was non-existent; my room wasn’t cleaned once during my four-night stay.

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was absolutely wonderful. Great restaurant recommendations from the front desk, we were able to book the rooftop hot tub for 2 hours and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will be back some day.

What a great find! We loved our stay here. Perfect location; close to everything and right on the water. Amazing breakfast buffet and nice snacks and dinner also provided. Our room was great; such comfortable beds, clean and spacious. The sauna and jacuzzi was fabulous as well! Easy check in and check out was much appreciated! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Love the hot tub, plus the included breakfast, fika, and dinner.

The price is definitely too high for this type of structure; it feels like a 3-star hotel. The property is quite old and the breakfast was underwhelming for a 4-star rating. On the bright side, the location is perfectly central. The gym, sauna, and heated outdoor jacuzzi (available for €5 per 30 mins) were the highlights of the stay. Great location, but poor value for money.

Nice cosy hotel, well located with friendly, helpful staff. Apart from a lovely breakfast they offered afternoon tea and coffee with cakes ( fika) and an evening buffet meal. Definitely recommend.

Our room was very spacious and clean. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was also very good and plentiful. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was nice, breakfast was good. Dinner options extremely limited. Room is a bit outdated but nice enough for our stay. Northern lights from the jacuzzi was a highlight. Good location, close to all the excursion pick ups

Hotel in a great location. Staff friendly. Breakfast great. Fika was really one one choice of cake and pastry. Mainly cake. Tasty. The dinners were also great but not an amazing variety. But can't complain. I stayed inna compact double which was v compact but again all we needed. Woild return for sure.

Great location, just beside the harbour, with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafe close by. Room was clean. Lovely staff. Good breakfast .
