This hotel had everything we needed for our visit. It was clean, large and had wonderful ammenities. It is right next to Edinburgh University and so convenient to everything you could ask for on your visit. It's just a few minute walk to shopping, food restaurants, museums, castles - and High Street (where all the tourists go to shop). Continental breakfast was great; fresh coffee or tea every morning and a good array of breakfast items to chose from. The rooms were big and had everything we required; kitchenette, large closets, sofa, comfy beds, full sized shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was wonderful.

Breakfast was lovely and the staff very helpful. The beds were comfy - the only downside was getting a disability room with a wet room which is not what I would have chosen - but this is lt preference rather than a huge negative

Hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel was very nice. Breakfast was awesome. The hotel is a bit off the “beaten path “ and there are only a few restaurants nearby. Uber made it easy to get to City Center where the action is. Uber rides were relatively inexpensive.

I booked a studio room for a 3 week stay in Edinburgh. I checked in June 4th, checked out June 25th. On June 10th there was a power outage which affected the internet so from that point on, I had little to no internet. I spoke to the night manager the last week of my stay and he advised he was only just made aware of it. However a maintenance tech had checked with me on at least three occasions to see if it had been restored. Another customer complained and was moved to a room where the internet worked. I was not offered any sort of compensation and my cell data costs were the equivalent of two nights stay. I’m very unhappy about this and feel I should’ve been offered something. Otherwise, I loved the hotel, location and my stay.

Great place for a family trip, rooms are comfortable, there is free tea and coffee in the lounge, they even have free laundry which was handy for us. Breakfast is included and was better than I was expecting. Will stay again when in Edinburgh.

Great breakfast, spacious room, not much of a view but that was OK, well located in the middle of Edinburgh University, so its very close to lots of things to do, a quick walk to bus pickups, and tram nearby for access to the airport. A great find!

This was a beautiful hotel which was centrally located. The breakfast was delicious with eggs, beans, bacon, lunch meat, cheese, cereals, yogurt, and homemade bread and pastries. Plus, they had a coffee maker with espresso! We were able to walk to the Royal Mile, the National Museum of Scotland, restaurants, and shops. Plus, they had a free washer and dryer!! The kitchenette included a convection oven, a small refrigerator, and a sink. Plus, there is a Sainsbury Local grocery around the corner if you want to prepare a meal. I truly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott.

Hotel is within walking distance of the royal mile close to the university. Restaurants, a bakery and small grocery store are nearby. Very quite area when we were there at the end of May, 2026.

The breakfast was excellent, (you can take the breakfast to your room) . The location is very good. The kitchen has microwave and refrigerator and all necessary as plates, cups, spoons, forks etc. We recommend it 😉

Romm was spacious and clean. Room had a small sectional couch, table with 4 chairs. Also a small kitchenette with plates, cutlery, glasses and dishwasher. Breakfast was included, which consisted of coffee, juice, water, cereal, porridge, meats, cheese, yogurt, toast, spreads, eggs, sausage, bacon, beans as well as assorted crossiscants.

The room was spacious! The breakfast was very filling. The staff was always able top answer any question I had. The was a woman by the name Victoria and she was so pleasant every time I interacted with her. The ability to do laundry part way through are stay was convenient as well. The hotel is perfectly located just outside the down town area making it a quiet environment but an easy walk to all the attractons.
