This was a beautiful hotel which was centrally located. The breakfast was delicious with eggs, beans, bacon, lunch meat, cheese, cereals, yogurt, and homemade bread and pastries. Plus, they had a coffee maker with espresso! We were able to walk to the Royal Mile, the National Museum of Scotland, restaurants, and shops. Plus, they had a free washer and dryer!! The kitchenette included a convection oven, a small refrigerator, and a sink. Plus, there is a Sainsbury Local grocery around the corner if you want to prepare a meal. I truly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott.

The breakfast was excellent, (you can take the breakfast to your room) . The location is very good. The kitchen has microwave and refrigerator and all necessary as plates, cups, spoons, forks etc. We recommend it 😉

Romm was spacious and clean. Room had a small sectional couch, table with 4 chairs. Also a small kitchenette with plates, cutlery, glasses and dishwasher. Breakfast was included, which consisted of coffee, juice, water, cereal, porridge, meats, cheese, yogurt, toast, spreads, eggs, sausage, bacon, beans as well as assorted crossiscants.

The room was spacious! The breakfast was very filling. The staff was always able top answer any question I had. The was a woman by the name Victoria and she was so pleasant every time I interacted with her. The ability to do laundry part way through are stay was convenient as well. The hotel is perfectly located just outside the down town area making it a quiet environment but an easy walk to all the attractons.

The staff were very friendly and most things about the hotel and room were great, but the mattress on my bed was uneven and offered little support. I ended up putting my back out and leaving after one night. In fairness, the hotel refunded me the other two nights I had booked, and I don't know whether it was just an issue in my room, but for anyone who experiences back problems then I would go elsewhere to be on the safe side.

If you’re considering staying here, please take this review as a sign NOT to. I wish I had listened to all of the 1-star reviews I saw on here. It would have saved us a lot of headaches and our time in Edinburgh wouldn't have been ruined. There was zero soundproofing in our room. It took four separate complaints before the hotel took any action. Each time prior, we were brushed off and our concerns were not taken seriously. When we finally spoke to the manager, he offered 10% off our stay (nowhere near adequate for a ruined vacation). When we checked out, the hotel only refunded 10% off 2 out of 4 nights, then refused to honour the manager’s written offer of 10% off the full stay. They have since refused to respond to our emails and escalate the issue to Marriott’s escalation team.
