Hotel ILUNION Malaga

Everything was excellent, but there was an unbearable sewer smell coming from the bathroom.

Friendly staff and very clean

Location was ok, warmish pool Was a big plus, sauna was lovely, food okay and room great.

The hotel was nice, clean, spacious and is in a convenient location. Staff were responsive and accommodating to guest. Breakfast was very good as it is prepared and cook on the same day and with a lot of options to choose from. However, before our stay, I message the hotel informing that we are celebrating my wife’s birthday and that if she can have a small treat ( a piece of cake, a bottle of wine or whatever ) it was acknowledge by replying to my message BUT THERE IS NO TREAT WHICH I AM WAITING FOR DURING OUR STAY

Lovely hotel. 20-30 mins from the centre. The hotel itself is lovely. Nice bar and seating area downstairs, unreal spa gym and pool upstairs. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is lovely. Eggs made fresh.

Spotless and roomy room and bathroom. Comfy bed with quality bedding. Great choice at breakfast. In a great spot for Malaga city centre and the main train and bus stations. Great value for a 4* hotel.

Clean, great facilities, friendly and professional staff!

Hotel very modern and when we noted to Reception that the bath was too high to climb into and had no safety rails we were moved immediately. Thankyou Amin for your help. My primary gripe was that there was a girls hockey team plus trainers/officials staying at the same time and they made breakfast time a nightmare. They took over the dining room with all their gear and did not vacate once their meal was over but stopped other guests(including one lady with a wheelchair) getting tables. and access to eating facilities. The officials were as bad on their iPads It completely spoiled our breakfast and the staff seemed unable to cope with it. We know that there are Conference facilities at the hotel so why couldn’t they have vacated there? I realise that in this financial climate that no hotel chain is going to refuse a large booking but surely the management should have checked this situation and issued guidance to the waiting staff because certainly none of the officials who travelled with this team made any effort to take command of a situation they had created.Plus the hotel is further out than I would have liked The walk to the city is along a busy main road and the bus which Reception had advised us to take still had not arrived after 40 minutes. I would not have chosen to walk back that way late at night so we took taxis. Would choose a more central hotel if I ever returned to Malaga.

A very comfortable hotel not too far from the city centre. The pool and hot tub were only lightly heated in January which was disappointing, however the service and amenities were excellent . We stayed in a top-floor suite with a very large balcony overlooking the harbour. It was a quiet room, and very well equipped with soundproofing.

Helpful staff and clean room!

We had an excellent four night stay here- the room was lovely, the breakfast terrific and the staff first class.

The location was about a 15-20 minute walk from the tourist places. Our Room reeked of tobacco. Luckily they were able to change it. Not sure how they were unaware of it; it smelled so strong. I want to share of our Bad breakfast experience on 1/27. We arrived to breakfast around 10:16 a.m. and when we provided our room number to the man at the front desk, we also asked when brekakfaat ended. He said half past 10 and that they had been there since 7. I remember thinking why he was sharing so much information, I didn’t care what time they got there, I just needed to know how much time I had. We asked again to clarify and he again repeated half past 10. I looked at him and said at 10:30? and he looked straight at me and just ignored me, didn’t respond to my question. I remember being confused at the moment but now I realize that he was being rude and unkind. He could have said, oh you know we do close in about little over 10 minutes but you’re welcome to grab a plate we just need to clear the dinning room by x time. He also did not greet guest at least our group as we were leaving. I saw him on the computer and phone looking at photos of staff? Like professional photos. Even when we got there and first arrived, he was looking at the screen I had to wait a moment for him to give us his attention… I wouldn’t lodge here again. I’m sure Malaga has lots of great places.

We had a good stay. The room was spacious. Spa area was great. Location was perfect near the station, 20 mins walk into Málaga.

Second visit to the hotel and enjoyed it again. Pool can be used in winter as its heated and covered then or summer too when its opened up. Comfortable stay and great location.

Beautiful modern hotel with top notch service and facilities. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Wi-Fi was excellent. There were several lovely places to gather and the pool area was really nice. Location is fab. Very convenient with a great view of the harbour. I would definitely stay here again.
