Really good location just under 10mins walk from Maria Zambrano and Alameda. Views over the port and despite being on a busy road, not noisy at all. Staff are genuinely so friendly and kind, a really warm welcome and all interactions lovely. The room is brilliant. Good size, power outlets where you need them and good storage for bags. Bed was really comfortable. AC is efficient. Shower is powerful and hot quickly. I really like the infrared lamp in the bathroom to keep it warm and dry you quicker! And it's a small thing but I noticed every time... There is some kind of really nice room scent that greets you every time you open the door. I really liked that. The gym is small but well equipped and the hydro circuit is fun! Breakfast has good selection and it's nice to sit outside as an option. This is my second stay here and I think will be my hotel of choice for Málaga on future trips.

Great junior suite and helpful staff, with a few minor hiccups We stayed in a junior suite, which was perfectly spacious and offered a fantastic view. I was a little taken aback by the lack of complimentary bottled water in the room, but this turned out to be a minor issue in the grand scheme of things since the hotel has convenient water dispensers by the lifts on every floor. However, on a negative note, housekeeping failed to replenish the tea bags after I used them. Aside from that, it was hard to complain about anything else regarding the room. In terms of location, while the hotel isn't too far from the main attractions, at times the walk felt a bit longer than expected. If you are driving, they do have an underground car park on-site. We did experience an issue here where the system failed to recognise our car, which temporarily prevented us from leaving. On a positive note, the staff were incredibly helpful with our questions regarding our onward journey, which I am very grateful for. Overall, it is definitely worth the stay.

Wir haben zwei Nächte im ILUNION Málaga verbracht und würden das Hotel grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen. Die größten Pluspunkte sind die hervorragende Lage, die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter und die Sauberkeit. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Altstadt und der Hafen sind bequem erreichbar. Auch die Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel ist sehr gut. Unser Zimmer war modern eingerichtet und machte insgesamt einen renovierten Eindruck. Die Betten und insbesondere die Matratzen waren ausgesprochen komfortabel, sodass wir sehr gut geschlafen haben. Das Frühstück bot eine große Auswahl und war qualitativ überzeugend. Positiv überrascht hat uns außerdem der Poolbereich, der für ein Stadthotel angenehm großzügig und gepflegt wirkt. Praktisch ist auch die vorhandene Tiefgarage. Der einzige größere Kritikpunkt betrifft das Badezimmer. Obwohl alles sauber war, zeigten sich deutliche Gebrauchsspuren. Mehrere Bodenfliesen waren gerissen und die Glasabtrennung der Badewanne schloss nicht richtig, wodurch beim Duschen Wasser auf den Badezimmerboden lief. Diese Bereiche wirken inzwischen renovierungsbedürftig und passen nicht ganz zum ansonsten guten Gesamteindruck des Hotels. Für unseren Aufenthalt zahlten wir 351,62 € für zwei Nächte. Zusätzlich wurden 19,50 € pro Tag für den Tiefgaragenstellplatz berechnet. Angesichts der Lage und des Angebots ist dies nachvollziehbar, allerdings erwartet man in dieser Preiskategorie ein Badezimmer ohne erkennbare Mängel.

Zu jeder Zeit würde ich in Màlaga das Hotel Ilunion wieder buchen. Das Personal war super freundlich, es war alles gepflegt und wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Auf jeder Etage befindet sich ein kostenloser Wasserspender und zum erfrischen gab es eiskaltes Wasser mit Minze und Zitronen im Eingangsbereich als auch in der Nähe des Pools. Die Lage war auch super. Zu Fuß war alles schnell und einfach zu erreichen.

From the moment of check-in until we checked out the staff was cheerful and polite, and informative. I would definitely book st this hotel again. Great value for your money. We booked a junior suite and the amenities included free drinks from the mini fridge. The bathroom was enormous with giant shower with a waterfall shower head plus a handheld wand. The living room and bedroom walked out to an immense balcony with table for four and two chaise loungers. The view to the ocean was beautiful.

Beautiful hotel… Rooms were large with separate sitting area. We had two rooms for sis people and lots of space. Beds were very comfortable and well appointed bathrooms. The amenities were amazing… Lovely pool and spa area, lots of different seating areas around the hotel and the bar and restaurant was great. Highly recommend!

This is a good well located hotel. Parking can be really tight but at least it’s available. Cost about €20 per night. Breakfast is good with lots of seating. Bathroom feels a bit outdated, but still nice and functional. The room is nice and big.

We stayed at Hotel ILUNION Malaga from May 23 to May 25, 2026. Immediately upon arrival, we reported that the room was extremely hot and that the air conditioning was not working properly. The hotel staff repeatedly informed us that a technician would come “soon,” but the issue was never resolved that first night. The room became very uncomfortable and we were unable to sleep properly due to the heat. I requested to be moved to another room, but the hotel informed us they were fully booked. Only on the second day were they finally able to relocate us to a different room. This experience has been really disappointing.

Nice hotel located near the harbor of Malaga. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk from the historic center. Parking was convenient in the hotel's parking garage (tight like any parking garage in Spain, so don't bring a large SUV...). The room was very spacious. The hotel is in a quieter area, so ideal for a relaxing visit to Malaga. The staff was friendly and professional.

Great junior suite and helpful staff, with a few minor hiccups We stayed in a junior suite, which was perfectly spacious and offered a fantastic view. I was a little taken aback by the lack of complimentary bottled water in the room, but this turned out to be a minor issue in the grand scheme of things since the hotel has convenient water dispensers by the lifts on every floor. However, on a negative note, housekeeping failed to replenish the tea bags after I used them. Aside from that, it was hard to complain about anything else regarding the room. In terms of location, while the hotel isn't too far from the main attractions, at times the walk felt a bit longer than expected. If you are driving, they do have an underground car park on-site. We did experience an issue here where the system failed to recognise our car, which temporarily prevented us from leaving. On a positive note, the staff were incredibly helpful with our questions regarding our onward journey, which I am very grateful for. Overall, it is definitely worth the stay.

Wir haben zwei Nächte im ILUNION Málaga verbracht und würden das Hotel grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen. Die größten Pluspunkte sind die hervorragende Lage, die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter und die Sauberkeit. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Altstadt und der Hafen sind bequem erreichbar. Auch die Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel ist sehr gut. Unser Zimmer war modern eingerichtet und machte insgesamt einen renovierten Eindruck. Die Betten und insbesondere die Matratzen waren ausgesprochen komfortabel, sodass wir sehr gut geschlafen haben. Das Frühstück bot eine große Auswahl und war qualitativ überzeugend. Positiv überrascht hat uns außerdem der Poolbereich, der für ein Stadthotel angenehm großzügig und gepflegt wirkt. Praktisch ist auch die vorhandene Tiefgarage. Der einzige größere Kritikpunkt betrifft das Badezimmer. Obwohl alles sauber war, zeigten sich deutliche Gebrauchsspuren. Mehrere Bodenfliesen waren gerissen und die Glasabtrennung der Badewanne schloss nicht richtig, wodurch beim Duschen Wasser auf den Badezimmerboden lief. Diese Bereiche wirken inzwischen renovierungsbedürftig und passen nicht ganz zum ansonsten guten Gesamteindruck des Hotels. Für unseren Aufenthalt zahlten wir 351,62 € für zwei Nächte. Zusätzlich wurden 19,50 € pro Tag für den Tiefgaragenstellplatz berechnet. Angesichts der Lage und des Angebots ist dies nachvollziehbar, allerdings erwartet man in dieser Preiskategorie ein Badezimmer ohne erkennbare Mängel.

Zu jeder Zeit würde ich in Màlaga das Hotel Ilunion wieder buchen. Das Personal war super freundlich, es war alles gepflegt und wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Auf jeder Etage befindet sich ein kostenloser Wasserspender und zum erfrischen gab es eiskaltes Wasser mit Minze und Zitronen im Eingangsbereich als auch in der Nähe des Pools. Die Lage war auch super. Zu Fuß war alles schnell und einfach zu erreichen.

From the moment of check-in until we checked out the staff was cheerful and polite, and informative. I would definitely book st this hotel again. Great value for your money. We booked a junior suite and the amenities included free drinks from the mini fridge. The bathroom was enormous with giant shower with a waterfall shower head plus a handheld wand. The living room and bedroom walked out to an immense balcony with table for four and two chaise loungers. The view to the ocean was beautiful.

Beautiful hotel… Rooms were large with separate sitting area. We had two rooms for sis people and lots of space. Beds were very comfortable and well appointed bathrooms. The amenities were amazing… Lovely pool and spa area, lots of different seating areas around the hotel and the bar and restaurant was great. Highly recommend!

This is a good well located hotel. Parking can be really tight but at least it’s available. Cost about €20 per night. Breakfast is good with lots of seating. Bathroom feels a bit outdated, but still nice and functional. The room is nice and big.

We stayed at Hotel ILUNION Malaga from May 23 to May 25, 2026. Immediately upon arrival, we reported that the room was extremely hot and that the air conditioning was not working properly. The hotel staff repeatedly informed us that a technician would come “soon,” but the issue was never resolved that first night. The room became very uncomfortable and we were unable to sleep properly due to the heat. I requested to be moved to another room, but the hotel informed us they were fully booked. Only on the second day were they finally able to relocate us to a different room. This experience has been really disappointing.

Das Hotel liegt etwas ausserhalb des Stadtzentrums aber ist gut zu Fuss erreichbar (ca 15-20 Minuten). Die Zimmer sind gut und geräumig, das Bad mit Badewanne etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Grosses Frühstücksbuffet und schöner Spa-Bereich mit Pool

Nice hotel located near the harbor of Malaga. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk from the historic center. Parking was convenient in the hotel's parking garage (tight like any parking garage in Spain, so don't bring a large SUV...). The room was very spacious. The hotel is in a quieter area, so ideal for a relaxing visit to Malaga. The staff was friendly and professional.
