In general this hotel has covered all my expectations! Friendly and helpful staff, spotless every where we were, a full variety of selection of breakfast my room had the best view….

We didn't have time to use swimming pool and gym. Everything else is great. However, the shower door needs new strip to seal the door well so that water does not leak out. Everything in the room is clean and bright and shining. We enjoyed it.

The hotel is beautiful, with elegant architecture and a rich sense of history. The rooms are comfortable, and the views of Taipei are stunning. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay.

Would have liked conditioner and body lotion as was traveling light. But it was a lovely venue and shuttle to and from station was great.

Loved the view and the size of the room. Huge. Beautiful hardwood floors which is rare for hotels these days. Bathroom was spacious. The hotel is not very private. Every day during lunch and dinner, huge crowds gather in the lobby for the hotel restaurants. As a guest, you may have a difficult time booking a table. The service is not very warm throughput the hotel. You will have better service in other Taipei hotels. If you want to swim, you need to walk down the hill in the heat or wait for the shuttle to take you to the country club next door. The pool was huge. Olympic sized. Enjoyed the buffet. Lots of good choices. Relatively expensive for Taiwan but reasonable compared to comparable places in the US. It’s a good hotel,don’t get me wrong. It is beautiful and indeee a grand hotel.

Property is beautiful. All amenities are either on site or a shuttle bus away (pool). There is no onsite washing machine but there is laundry service for a few. Restaurant food was amazing. All you can eat crab legs and sashimi for dinner. A little pricy but it would be the cost of any all you can eat. If you are a hotel guest then you get 10% off of restaurant prices. The First Lady coffee shop has been discontinued.

Purchase with breakfast included but somehow it only showing no breakfast on their record. When asked to contact the Expedia I was told to sort it out on my own when it’s very hard to contact these platforms. When I offer to purchase the breakfast, the staff offer me the price for one breakfast that’s actually for two days. I found out the next day by another staff and eventually upgraded correctly.

The Grand Hotel lives up to its name. Everything is unique and beautiful. The restaurants are excellent and all different (we tried them all). The nightly concert is a plus. Once you find the trail through the part it is a short walk down the hill to the MRT station from which you can go anywhere. Public transit is modern, efficient, and air conditioned. The in house bakery makes spectacular breads!

Excellent view and very classic interior design. I love the design style of the hotel both outside and inside which is very classic Chinese style but high quality. The staff members are great. I had to do an early checkout because of typhoon's landing and change of traveling scheduling, and I was able to get my full refund for the remaining night. Will stay in the same hotel again for my next visit of Taipei.

A magnificent hotel.

Great hospitality. The outdoor pool is clean. Food is authentic and delicious.

The hotel entrance is impressive and the staff were helpful with luggage. The accommodations were not as I expected. We were in an isolated part of the hotel that was a 8-10 minute walk from the lobby with a lot of turns and elevation changes. We didn't encounter any other guest in the wing that we stayed in. The rooms were a good size, the bathrooms were clean but there was a musty smell in the room and the hallways. There was also a lizard in my room one of the nights which the hotel staff promptly removed. A filtered water dispenser was provided. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options to choose from. The hotel was not conveniently located to many of the popular activities so it took extra time to get places.

Great history, great culture, great location and great view. Must stay if it's your first time visiting Taiwan or Taipei.
