Rating: 3/5 The staff was a standout: friendly and attentive, and the shuttle service between the rooms and the lobby was a surprisingly useful touch, especially given the property's layout. The views were the other major win — serene, lush, and calming in a way that felt genuinely restorative. The surrounding environment gives off a full rainforest aesthetic that's hard not to appreciate. Just come prepared with bug spray, because the mosquitoes are relentless. That said, we came to Phuket straight from Bangkok, and the contrast was hard to ignore. The rooms felt noticeably smaller and less maintained — spider webs in the shower, a slow drain, and an A/C unit that kept cutting out made it difficult to fully relax. We also experienced a couple of electrical outages during our stay. They didn't derail the trip, but they're worth mentioning. We did our research before choosing Patong Beach, so the decision was informed. However, it's one we wouldn't make again. If you're coming straight from Bangkok, temper your expectations on the accommodations front. Great seafood and burger finds. The nature and staff make it worthwhile for the right traveler, but the upkeep needs work.

What a great resort to relax. The property is gorgeous. Every sunshine filled morning walking to breakfast, looking out at the movie-like backdrop of sea and mountain, being greeted by such wonderful Amari staff members like Som-o and Jeab who made me feel welcome every day was comforting as a solo traveler. The staff is remarkable here. They all are kind, helpful, polite and professional. When I am in Phuket, Amari will be my home.

This property is amazing! The views are spectacular! Along with great customer service & hospitality. The food & pool areas are great as well. This resort looks like a dream & has very picturesque views. The beds are soft (which is hit or miss w/ hotels here) & rooms are really spacious w/ a wonderful balcony depending on the room you booked. There is a bit a walking necessary to do certain activities. Bring mosquito spray bc they are thirsty here but that’s to be expected in any tropical climate. I would definitely stay here again 12/10 for the recommendation. I have really really enjoyed myself here. Special recognition to Syd & Guitar for providing us great service when we needed to extend our time here. Many thanks! 💛💛

Stayed at Amari Phuket recently and it’s one of those places that gets the balance right without overcomplicating things. The location is a big win. It’s just outside Patong Beach, so you can dip into the busy side of Phuket when you want, but still come back to something that feels calm and tucked away. The setting on the headland means the views are genuinely impressive, especially at sunrise and sunset. Rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, with most making the most of the sea view. The Ocean Wing is worth it if you can get it. Waking up to the water every morning sets the tone for the day. The pools and private beach are standout features. The beach in particular gives it an edge over a lot of Phuket hotels, as it feels more exclusive and relaxed compared to the main tourist areas. Food and drink options are good across the resort, with enough variety to not feel repetitive. Service is consistently strong. Staff are friendly, attentive, and everything runs smoothly without you having to think about it. Only thing to note is the layout. It’s built into a hillside, so there are a fair few steps, but there are buggies running if needed. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want great views, good service, and a quieter base while still being close to Patong.

I booked 3 rooms for us and 5 kids and we received a free upgrade for my kids rooms to be next to us (the parents) we loved staying in Amari, such beautiful resort with stunning views of the water and patong beach, we loved the 2 pools, walking on the jetty during sunset and the kids club. the buggy sometimes took very long to arrive to collect us from our room as we were located up the hill but otherwise we are very happy. we will stay again.

Great hotel, clean and well kept. Kids loved the kids club. The staff were super helpful. The resort facilities like pool and restaurants were great. Can’t really fault our experience. There was a mix up with our 5th traveller. As my child was 7yo, they expected him to sleep with parents. This is clearly noted on their website, however Expedia didn’t provide the information when I booked. An extra bed was $40 AUD per night.
