Barcelo Istanbul

The hotel was very clean and well organized. All staff members were polite and professional, especially Ms. Hanieh, who was very attentive, responsible, and respectful. We were very satisfied with our stay at the hotel. The only issue with the hotel was the bed. The mattress was not comfortable and had some sagging, which caused me back pain. However, the room cleanliness was excellent, and the breakfast variety was also very good.

Great hotel , clean , staff was very nice

Upon arrival at the hotel I had to pay to upgrade my room because of the noise and how worn out the standard room was. On the first night of my stay I had a friend in my room for a while with no problem. On the 3rd night I met a friend who was waiting at the front of the hotel and as we came in security and reception staff started harassing him. They kept his ID card and limited the time he is allowed to stay with me to 1 hour. The reception staff decided not to tell me what was going on as they had been speaking in Turkish to my friend. So I was forced to ask them what had just happened. I find it appalling that I am not allowed to entertain a guest in a room I have paid for, especially when they are not staying in the room overnight. Upon leaving I asked for more information at reception who told me if it’s a male guest they can stay for 1 hour and there is no need to pay until after that amount of time has passed, but if it’s a female friend I will have to pay now. There is no turndown service at this ”5* hotel”. There are no English channels on TV apart from the news - unusable. There was a sewage smell from the shower drain after showering. Upon checkout I was charged £7.46 for a small bag of M&Ms from the mini bar. This is an absolute joke of a hotel but is unsurprisingly in keeping with the scammer culture of Istanbul. It is clear they don’t trust guests. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you want anyone you know in Istanbul to be harassed by hotel staff.

The cleaning house staff had body odor smell. If they can take care of personal hygiene before making the rooms because it affected the room

Great location. I wouldn’t qualify it as a 5star hotel, smaller than it appears in the pictures. Very clean, not many extra or frills in the rooms. It’s a solid 4star.

perfect staff nice location

The hotel really is a five-star property. It is luxurious and modern with elegant decor and extremely high-quality construction throughout. It felt like a brand new hotel. There was no sign of anywhere in tear that I saw during our two-day stay at this property. The location is excellent about two blocks from taxim square

Hotel needs updating in rooms and tv volumes are set at 20 only service they don’t want to refund u back stuff you didn’t like from room service.

I absolutely loved my stay at Barceló Istanbul, but the true highlight was the bathroom — more precisely, the in-room hamam. I couldn’t get enough of it! The heated marble, the sheer spaciousness, the luxurious feel… it’s pure indulgence and unlike anything I’ve experienced in a hotel before. Housekeeping deserves a special mention — top-notch service, incredibly attentive, and always thoughtful in the smallest details. The spa on the top floor is another world entirely. The hamam experience there, combined with the massages, is simply unforgettable. Barceló Istanbul is the definition of modern comfort meeting authentic Turkish luxury. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Fantastic hotel, Suleiman at check-in was outstanding, staff were beyond excellent. Rooms were brilliant

Room was spacious, clean and had a balcony. The staff at breakfast were lovely with a large variety of foods. The one negative was the service at the Champs restaurant in the property. However, the food there was good.

Great hotel in a great location. Would definitely stay there again.
