Great hostel

Extremely nice breakfast, friendly staff, convenient location, there is ton of coffee shops, street food, convenient store around and not expensive. The room was very clean and strong air conditioner. Totally recommended, you wont ever regret if choosing this place.

The staff are very nice and helpful, the room very clean, solf bed They have nice breakfast with many options They help my arrange Ha Long Bay Trip, it was great ! Thank so much , i will come back again. Hight right recommend !

great neighborhood, nice small hotel. the employees are very nice and willing to help with any request. it is a little too noisy as it is located above local small restaurants.

Pros - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. New towel & toiletries replaced daily. A fresh rose was also placed at the bedside as a welcoming gesture which was delightful. A quiet & peaceful environment. Cons - Would have been helpful if there was a lift as our room was on the fifth level. The pillow was too soft. Was like lying down flat. If these issues are addressed, Tomodachi House is an extremely superb hostel!!!

We liked the Sky Suite, though the room does have a few drawbacks: the bathroom is a little cramped and water gets everywhere as the shower is very close to the toilet. The room itself is rather small, but nicely appointed and the terrace is lovely. The windows are by no means sound-proof, so you'll get a bit of the hustle and bustle of the street below. No partying, just the buzz of conversation and the odd clanking of pots. I actually liked it, but might be too much for sensitive sleepers. The router on the ceiling is like a disco light at night. I wrapped it in toilet paper! We let the staff know, so maybe they will cover the lights with some electrical tape.

Really lovely hotel, great location, nice rooms and food, and friendly staff and fellow guests. A very calm place, though can be a bit noisy in the evenings as it is in a busy area with bars and restaurants. But who comes to Hanoi for peace and quiet? The best thing about the hotel is the staff, every one of them is friendly, helpful and polite. It was a pleasure to stay there, and I will definitely go again.

From booking online to checking out was a great experience! Smooth check in and excellent customer service from Lizzie. She booked me tours, explained things to do and best places to go. Room was small but perfect for just sleeping in. Breakfast included and good choice of variety.

Rooms were OK. Had constant flow of ants/spider in the room. If you take the top floor suite.. U have to walk up 5 flights. Bathroom were disappointing. Dark, small and mold.

All staffs were really nice. The sky villa room was so nice and clean.

I had a great time. It's in the center of Hanoi but not really in the backpacker area, which I liked. Room and bathroom cleaned, fresh towel everyday. Very helpful staff. Drapes around each bed in the dorm so really private if you want. Really comfortable bed.

Staff warmly welcomed me to their hostel. The interior was neat and clean with a nice and comfy shower and w/c. They served breakfast roughly between 7 and 9. The reception staff so eagerly to help me sorted out transportation to airport on the day i depart. My flight was quite early and i needed to get going at 6am. The young gentlemens of the hostel made me breakfast, check out for me and sent me to the taxi driver. I felt so sorry to make them slept on the floor of the reception and took care of me at such a early morning. I will come back to your homey and friendly hostel when i got chance to come back to Hanoi!

Having arrived a day late due to airport issues, the staff were more than welcoming and helped me with maps, tour bookings and anything I required.

The dorm is great, simple and everything have. Bathroom attach inside as well as outside. It privacy as have curtain to cover the bed when sleeping. Feel safe and the place very convenient for search for food when hungry. The breakfast also good.

Very friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable with a/c and a curtain around the bed for privacy. They provide toiletries, a bottle of water and towel free of charge. The breakfast was awesome as there were lots of choices. The train station is less than a 10min walk away where you can catch the shuttle bus to and from the airport for only 30,000 dong. There wasn't a common room to meet and chill with other travelers though. But, I would definitely come back!

Tomodachi House is run by a super friendly young family. The entire staff is kind and accommodating. I originally booked only 2 nights, and after booking an all day tour to Ha Long Bay needed to stay a third night. i was told the hostel was full and decided to cancel the tour, but within 15 minutes a room cancellation allowed me to keep my bed another night and go on to Ha Long Bay. i was happy with the tour booked through Tomodachi and glad to be back another night. i also used the laundry service which took less than a day and booked my airport transfer with Tomodachi. the variety of breakfast options are a nice surprise. my only discomfort was the dorm room air conditioning. being in the bed farthest from the AC unit was quite warm but not miserable.
