As family we needed a room to crash after a day trip to Peppa Pigs World. Before I arriving I already knew the Air Con and Wi Fi weren’t working. However there were solutions to the problems. For me getting free hot milk from the bar for my toddler was a big deal. The room itself was spacious with a double bed and double sofa bed. We’re only there for one night so the hotel managed my expectations before arriving.

No aircon and 27 degrees outside meant it was impossible to get comfortable. Staff were fine. Amenities were ok but the bar area is a bit tired. For the price, there are way better hotels in Southampton and I probably won't stay here again.

Although the room was good, they let us know a couple days before that tha air conditioning was not working. We had to sleep with the windows open do to the heatwave.

Lovely hotel - nice staff. But heat in room was unbearable. Small fan provided. Window will only open a fraction. It wasn’t even one of the super warm days. Could only try sleep on top of bed with window noise from the road below from the window opening - which was needed. Never again. I’m sure it’s perfect to stay in outside the summer months though.

Clean and spacious rooms, nice bathroom with both shower cubicles as well as bathtub , friendly staff and nice full English breakfast if you have opted for that. Just a note, you will have to pay for car parking (£12 per night)

Overall we had a great stay! Hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful. Especially calling us a large taxi to drive our party to the cruise terminal.

We had problem with a parking sheet that needed printing for our cruise, the lady on reception was very helpful and printed it straight away. Job done nice lady.

Clean room and bathroom, staff really friendly and helpful

This was a one night stay before taking a cruise. Location was near the cruise port and an easy UBER ride. We were notified ahead of time that there was no AC. Even though it was very warm outside our room temp was manageable by using a table fan that was furnished with each room. We arrived early and the staff made very effort to get us into our room which was greatly appreciated. We had a good stay.

This is a VERY basic hotel. Also - no A/C. Looking very worn. If you are staying here to catch a cruise, it is not a walk to the port.

We were in Southampton on one of the hottest days of the year. The hotel is not air conditioned. A small fan was provided, but it was an unbearably uncomfortable night and neither of us were able to sleep. I have stayed at the Novotel numerous times over the past two decades and the hotel is increasingly dated and tired, especially the bathrooms. Considering increasingly hot summers, the owners of the hotel should invest in Air Conditioning.

Our stay was good for the one night. I found it a bit of an inconvenience having the toilet in a separate room from the sink

The layout of the room is very outdated: the toilet is in a small and isolated room that hasn't a sink, makes us very inconvenient. The room isn't small but lacks of table to place our opened luggage. The lights

Did not have air conditioning which was an issue however I should of checked before booking. Rather dated overall but the staff were lovely. Superb location for access to the station, city centre, Isle of Wight and the cruise ships. The food was very good but also check out the TGIFriday as despite the negative reviews we found very good, just go a little later to avoid the family rush. Overall l would recommend.

For US travelers, it would have been nice to know that there are no USB ports in the rooms, NO air conditioning and should buy a portable plug converter before coming.

Ideal location of hotel to attend guildhall concert. Clean, comfortable room bit dated but met needs. Staff professional and welcoming

No air conditioning it was terrible

Breakfast was excellent! Staff were extremely helpful, and courteous. I would like to mention Catherine from the reception for her help explaining how to take the train from Southampton to London.
