I appreciated a clean room, sheets etc. which were really the most important for me. One member of staff on reception was quick, efficent and aimiable. Another was surly and unappreciative. The bar closed early, which did not bother me; but the only food on the menu was pizza, not a favourite. I did not have breakfast.

This is a basic hotel with very nice front of house staff. I spent only one night prior to my trip on the Eurotunnel, which was convenient. It was great that they are pet friendly.

Good value for money hotel, good location and overall satisfied. Older style hotel and entertainment nightly.

The weather was incredibly hot there was no Aircon which made the room very hot

Having been visiting the burstin since pre coved I have watched with with interest the re furb that’s been taking place. However first visit this year and o dear where do I start. Unable to purchase drinks at start of England Ghana football game cash or card. Many people very frustrated and disappointed. 3 out of 4 lifts out of service which is compounded by the stopping on certain floors only anyway. No hot water in room.all while pice has pretty much doubled in the 6 years I’ve been going. Having said all that me and wife love folkstone so will always return

The bathroom was dirty a lot of lime scale on taps dirty coffee mugs went to reception with one mug as it had some kind of detergent ie bleach told go to bar and get new one got to bar bar was shut went back to reception and told to to other bar for a clean mug as a paying customer I think it’s unacceptable that I should have to run around hotel to get clean mug s for the food in the Victorian restaurant it was luke warm and not very enjoyable after travelling all day it’s not wat i expected

Typical Britannia Hotel as with them all seen better days but a trip back to a proper UK seaside holiday and was fun. If you want 4 star plus luxury this is not for you. But I love the Seaside vibe with a great location for bars and restaurants.

Brilliant stay staff were wonderful

The room was clean, and the staff are great. Few little issues, but nothing major, we had some issues with the shower being a bit temperamental, sometimes it would come on, other times it wouldn't come on at all, and the temperature took some working out as well. The room had a nice fridge, and decent sized TV on the wall, which worked well. The building seems to only have 1 lift that covers a range of floor, so there is often a queue for the lift, which is fine, its healthy to take the stairs. Parking is a problem, the carpark is not big enough for the number of guess. there was a lot of double parked cars, blocking in other vehicles. The food at breakfast was slow to replenish but was decent, and the staff were very polite and friendly. In some areas it feels like the hotel is stuck in the 80s but in others it feels like it is modern. The hotel is dog friendly, and no issues with you having pets in the room, and around the building. I enjoyed the stay, did everything I needed.

Despite the attitude of a couple of members of staff, it's generally a decent enough place to stay. Ive spent around a month here while working in the area. Its not the ritz, but it ain't ritz money!! One of the better hotels to stay at

Room decent size could be cleaned a little better. Windows with a view would be nice if you could see out them very dirty. Got locked out of my bathroom at 4am had to go down to lobby and get staff to fix door. Overall the hotel looked very tired has the potential to be a nice hotel but requires a lot of work rooms not serviced everyday as advertised in booking you have to request this the night before. So if staff not servicing rooms what are they cleaning? Bed uncomfortable could use a new mattress. Meals satisfactory for price.

Hally I hotel was dirty. Good entertainment. The location is quite good.

Older hotel but good value. It is a group entertainment facility so be prepared for coach tour festivities. Avoid rooms close to the entry to the wing doors. They bang late and start early to wake you. The lifts can be a challenge. Sometimes out of order issues and long waits to escape or exercise your step climbing up and down.

Worth the money, you get what you pay for. Breakfast was not always hot.

Staff were great, room was clean, nice buffet breakfast and bar. The only downside is the decor, it is very dated, it was a bit like stepping back in time to the 70’s but location was great so would probably go back if in that area again.

The room was clean, bed linen fresh and the bed comfortable. The hotel and room looked a little tired with its décor and could do with a refresh. Only stayed a single night at a very good rate and would do so again.
