The Hillgrove is very conveniently located. Lots of easy parking. The staff are friendly and professional and the bar and breakfast space are very inviting, the menus are very good. Our deluxe room was very spacious and the view of the cathedral and downtown was a welcome morning sight. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

fast check in and helpful staff. Food in the resturant was really well priced and huge portions. Room was clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay.

Greeted with a warm welcome. The staff are lovely ,leisure and spa facilities are excellent very relaxing,the room was big and clean and had complementary water and products, but was a little cold ,fine once I was in the bed . The girl at checkout was so helpful and informative , should probably of just asked for the heating to be turned on or up .

Family friendly hotel

Freezing cold rooms, rude front desk staff at check in “you didn’t even book direct” (I guess having hotels .com status means nothing) TV did not work, not at all clean enough. Room service left in hallway 24+ hours. Not worth the price point. But you don’t have many other options in Monaghan.

Nice walking path adjacent to hotel. We had a sauna in the late afternoon which was welcomed. Our room was over the gym which was a bit noisy spa consideration when booking your room.

It was a get away for me and the wife paid for by our son, daughters and daughter-in-law

Our room was clean but very dated . Bathroom was modern, clean & well equipped . Hotel itself was busy, food & staff was good . Enjoyed our stay .

Room was poor tattered rug and very few amenities. There was so much noise coming in from the corridor.

Excellent facilities. Very polite staff. Good food, good music. We found this hotel to be one of the best we have ever stayed. We are happy to recommend the Hillgrove Hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area. Five stars all day long
