The Chez Swann is in an excellent location, a short walking distance from all amenities, restaurants galore. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The continental breakfast was sufficient. Staff always friendly and helpful.

This hotel was amazing. It has a wonderful vintage vibe to it with beautiful decor and a good view. I enjoyed the breakfast and the café that was right beside the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again on my next Montreal trip

It is in a prefect location. 2 minute walk to st. catherine, 2 minute walk to peel, 2 minute walk to metro, 8 minute walk to bell centre. Prices are good and rooms are chic!

Amazing decor .. starting in the entrance foyer, artistic touches flow to the bedroom and bathroom. Loved the shower tower with multiple nozzles. Well situated close to Peel and St Catherine’s streets. Free water which is not trivial and extremely helpful reception

The hotel is next to a bar and is not soundproofed. I could feel the bass thumping and could hear the music despite wearing earplugs.

Loved the comfy king size bed with an AC in the room. Kitchen, living room and 2 bathrooms were great. The city policy of requiring guests to sort their own recycling and compost and take them out was silly, patronizing and not very wise. Every recycling system has its own rules about what qualifies, especially for plastic. We did our bit but I am sure most people would still put everything in the garbage.

This little hotel is cute and very stylish. The room was large and the bed comfortable. The clerk that checked us in was lovely. Unfortunately, there were some issues that made our stay very unpleasant. 1) The constant bass noise that could be heard and felt from the moment we checked in our room in the afternoon until the wee hours in the am. There was a short pause and then it started at 9:30 am-buying earplugs that evening made no difference. 2) The TV didn’t work 3) The toilet flush handle didn’t work 3) The walls are paper thin-we actually thought people had entered our room with the floor boards creaking, but it was the people next door. 5) Going down for breakfast at 9:20 (breakfast was from 7-10 and there not being a single thing left. I asked the front desk (different clerk from the day before) if there was anymore breakfast and all I got was, “Yeah, we ran out today.” Nothing more. I was shocked at the lack of care. When we checked out, the same clerk said nothing except taking the keys. We were exhausted from a terrible night’s sleep and left, looking for breakfast elsewhere. Overall, it unfortunately made our weekend away disappointing.

It's a quirky place-floors creak but it's an old place- we live these types of places. Hard to find. Great location. Park down the street for 24& day

The hotel is very dated. The floor squeaks loudly in every room. We could hear the noise when other guests walked next door or on the floor above us. Breakfast was very simple and somewhat disappointing.

The AC in room 208 was poor and didnt work. I asked the manager to help fix it and they would not send a repair person timely. Also the sound from the music and DJ down below does not end until past midnight. You will hear the music and vibrations loudly.

Staff is great - helpful & attentive. It is in a central location close to Metro. Great place for base camp. Their parking assignment right next door was very convenient. Because it is in the middle of everything g, it is in a congested and busy area. It is loud and exciting. I was there during F1 week.

The room was large and clean. It’s an old style hotel with huge double sink bathroom and a giant shower. However, everything was falling apart inside. The lever to flash the toilet fell off and we flashed using the lever straight in the tank. The bathroom door locks are finicky; we locked ourselves from the bathroom twice and opened it ourselves, as the hotel’s maintenance staff lives far and we would have had to wait hours to get it opened. The shower did not have enough water pressure and the handle to the door was falling off. Breakfast was included, but it was very poor. No hot food, just cold pastries, cereal, sweet yogurt and coffee. We got the place for its location, and that was good. All in all I would not recommend it for the money we paid ($250/night.)
