Excellent price, wonderful breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was confortable and clean, I slept well. I would stay here again.

Good hotel near center city with lots of tourists and York train station

Great location with free parking. Fan provided in room which was great. Tv a little wobbly and shower head wouldn’t stay up but overall a good value stay.

Excellent stay we had. Ten minutes walk to centre. Clean rooms comfy beds. Breakfast was lovely. Staff friendly amd polite. Would recommend

It was quirky and I loved the whole atmosphere. I didn’t use the bar just the room , shower was hot and the bus nearby was great , also the river and wall walks were close by as well .

It was exactly what I was looking for. Somewhere to lay my head for a couple of nights. (Motorbike riding break) Off road parking was perfect and a bonus! Breakfast was really good. Perfectly placed in the city for a 5-10 mins walk into the city centre. Lots of bars/restaurants to choose from. The pub has sky sports which was a bonus also. All in all, I can't complain. Would definitely stay again if I'm up that way.

Perfect location within easy walking distance to the city centre. All staff we spoke to were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained and clean, would definitely stay again.

Nice cheap victorian pub, nice breakfast and nice pub grub, only 8 minutes walk from the city walls at the postern gate. And there's a wetherspoons there as well.

Lovely clean room. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was top notch plenty of it . The bar was excellent with various beers to choose from. A lovely beer garden and a car park which was a surprise.

Très charmante petite auberge et très bien situé pour visiter le centre de York. Nous avons pris l’appartement le plus grand étant une famille de 5 personnes et c’était très comfortable. Petit pub et terrasse sur place.

Room was very good. Position of the accommodation for central York and the Barbican in particular was excellent. Pub downstairs is good for a pint after night out and before bed. Even had tellies in the bar for the football. Staff invisible but available when needed which was good

Good location a 15 min walk into central York. Staff were awesome, friendly and helpful. The room with ensuite was clean and window was able to be opened and fan supplied as conditions were quite hot

The room was clean but the shower door was broken and the shower head didnt stay in place. Also the other room doors was very noisey when they shut

The place is a pub & it’s seen better days. Arrived on a Friday & it’s a drinking place for builders still in work gear. This reflects the standard throughout - the small dining room is a thoroughfare for an outside drinking & smoking area (garden) actuallly a fenced off section of the car park if you want a description - the breakfast is good if you want a full English but no other options really. The day / evening meals - don’t bother - go out somewhere. The room we had was comfortable but basic - if you want to impress someone this is not the place. The good thing it had a car park. We felt the walk into York centre was a bit too far
