The room felt quite luxurious, decorated in a really pretty way with smart wallpaper, a warm cosy feeling - lovely comfy bed, full length mirror, little touches like loo roll folded over into a point and tea and coffee refreshed daily. It was also all really clean and well kept and very quiet. The powerful shower had a waterfall shower as well as a regular one. It is in a quiet and quite well off neighbourhood, with 2 Tesco extras, Donnybrook Fair luxury food shop (great for buying a cheap daily sandwich on the way in to town), place for a full Irish breakfast or a trendy hipster cafe, and a pub all within 4 minutes walking distance. There are more than 3 buses into town from bus stop 2 minutes away - takes around 15 - 20 minutes. I didn't meet the owner but the cleaner was really sweet and kind. There is a lounge where you can eat a takeaway meal which saved on costs. I had a pizza from a restaurant 5 minutes away. I highly recommend it, its also (incredibly) cheaper than some of the mass market/ soulless type hotels in the centre. I would stay here again if I visited Dublin in the future.

The room was clean and very comfortable with excellent amenities. The host was so kind and accommodating.

Room was small but clean and tidy, good value for money. After some confusion about actually getting in and accessing my room (probably my own fault), things were sorted out by friendly and efficient staff and my stay then went smoothly.

Very convenient Tesco Express nearby, serviceable and restaurant around the corner, though better meal options easily accessible nearby. It was a great location for accessing Dublin City center and UCD, both easy bus rides or about 20-30 minutes enjoyable walk away.

PROs: Good location, clean room, friendly staff, and the newly renovated bathroom was very nice. CONs: In level 1 room you can hear the floor above walking around (light thumping), room has a bit of a damp smell to it, and using the electronic lock on the doors was finicky and frustrating a couple times. Overall a good spot and would recommend/revisit.

We are so grateful to Martina for her help upon our arrival. Even though check-in time was at 2:00, we were on her doorstep when she arrived for work very early in the morning. She kindly allowed us to drop off our bags, and when we came back later in the afternoon, she had readied our room and moved our bags upstairs, allowing us to immediately crash and sleep off our jet lag. Clean room and clear instructions for entering the property

My room at Donnybrook Hall had a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom, kept very clean by staff. They were great at communicating, and the neighborhood was pretty, peaceful and safe. Very easy to get to central Dublin with transit close by. I highly recommend it for a place to stay in Dublin.

The property and the staff were lovely. The room,number 4 was terribly small for two people. It was more suited for one person. Overall,it was a pleasant experience and the location is close to bus lines that service the city center.

Lovely friendly welcome and I liked the secure access to the property. Very clean and quiet, had a great sleep. Perfect for the wedding I was attending down the street.

Great, quiet place. A few grocery and necessity shops around the corner. Although not ideal for long term stay as no microwaves and fridges.
