We stayed at The Danna Langkawi as a family and overall had a very happy and memorable experience.
1. Check-in / Room Arrangement
We requested connecting rooms in advance via Traveloka, but upon arrival we were informed that the room category we booked (Grand Marina View) does not come with connecting rooms. This was disappointing as we were not informed earlier by Traveloka. The hotel was already around 80% occupied that day so no room change was possible, but En. Arif (Front Office Manager) and Haris were very helpful in arranging two rooms side-by-side for us on Level 2. We appreciated their effort and accepted the arrangement.
2. Room & Housekeeping
The rooms were comfortable, well-equipped, and had great amenities. My kids absolutely loved the large bathtub and the super comfy beds! However, housekeeping did reuse the blanket cover: I noticed a small coffee stain that remained even after the room was made up, just flipped to the other side. This was the only cleanliness issue we experienced. Otherwise, everything else in the room was excellent.
3. Food & Dining
Room Service and the Planter’s restaurant were both delicious. The menus may not have a huge selection, but the quality and taste were consistently superb. My daughter loved the pastries and croissants, while I really enjoyed the noodle soup. Great dining experience overall!
4. Kids Club & Activities
The Kids Club was a highlight for us. Since we visited during Christmas, there were plenty of festive activities like decorating gingerbread houses and a visit from Santa. My kids could spend hours there coloring, building, and playing , they absolutely loved it!
5. Facilities: Pool & Beach
The swimming pool and beach area were clean, well maintained, and beautiful. It was jellyfish season, but the staff informed us ahead so we could take precautions. We still enjoyed the beach without issues.
