For the umpteenth time, I stayed at Novotel. Every time I go to Semarang, I always come here with a request for a room with a view of Paragon Mall. Last year, I also celebrated my child's birthday here. The receptionist always tries to get a room according to my request, all the hotel and restaurant staff are very friendly, overall it's okay. But yesterday I was a bit surprised because in May 2026, there was still a food tenant at the right end of the restaurant. Now it has been replaced with sofas for guests to eat, so some of the breakfast tenants have changed. Hopefully, the change in tenant location doesn't reduce the breakfast menu. Always success to Novotel Semarang 🙏🏻😍

AC in the room is a bit loud; I had to use earplugs to sleep tight. The water pressure of the shower and wastafel is fabulous! 🤩 Nice large smoking lounge and the long black coffee is great.

The location is strategic, in the city center and close to everything. The hotel appears to be older, but the rooms are large, allowing for ample space even with an extra bed. Cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, needs attention. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I recommend staying here.

I stayed with my wife and three children. I had requested a non-smoking room on the app, but instead, I was given a smoking room on a smoking-free floor. It was uncomfortable seeing the children sleeping in a room that smelled of cigarettes.

A comfortable hotel, returning to the Novotel Semarang after 15 years. I think the standard has dropped significantly, perhaps because it's quite old. The sofa in the room smells musty, the sheets, and the towels aren't as white as they used to be. The tea, coffee, and sugar are unhygienic. I happened to get sugar that was quite wet and mixed with coffee. The water comes from a refill, and the water cooker is broken. Maybe the hotel wants to save money, but for me, it's quite annoying, because we don't know who used the room before me. Come on, you're a 4-star hotel, but you're inferior to 2- and 3-star hotels in terms of hygiene and cleanliness.
