Hotel was surrounded with scaffold Our room was in a basement with a view of a brick wall No free parking as promised Bad attitude from staff when questioned about room

It needed a lick of paint! Smelt of drains downstairs. Windows could only be propped open with a piece of wood! Shower was the size of a sink with a cubicle around it. Bath for a dwarf in the dark, as very poor lighting. However the view from the room was excellent, the bed and pillows were very comfy, good breakfast. Just wish the reseption staff were more professional in their manner

Perfect location, room was clean and tidy, it had everything we need, ie tea , coffee, & hair dryer, staff were lovely, very obliging. - the room was a bit small but doable, en-suite extremely small, took a while for the hot water in the shower to come through.

We had a good time, the hotel is in a good location for all amenities, barstaff were friendly but not always available, were times we were left standing around waiting for them to come back from wherever they were, but overall a good time

Basic but goid value for price.

We loved our stay at The Marine Hotel. The room was spacious with a magnificent view towards the pier. Convenient location, right on the Promenade.

Needs a full upgrade.room was clean.But needs work doing as plaster coming of wall and cracks in ceiling. Still had scaffolding up .staff where lovely.Only 2 nights entertainment. Changed from 5 nights very boring

It was advertised as having parking however, upon arrival I discovered I should have booked for parking and there was no space available.

Hotel was ideally situated and convenient for shops etc and reasonable price and free disabled parking on front was a bonus would definitely stay again

Friendly and helpful staff. Superior room was worth the money- great view and more space. Block of wood in room to prop open sash window. Hot day so room was boiling - no air con but reception provided a fan. Nice breakfast. Good value drinks. Great location but hotel a little tired.

Brillant stay

Lovely view. Bed comfortable. Awful food

The hotel is three star but the decor is very dated. Floorboards creak, the dressing table veneers were peeling. Bathrooms are very dated with peeling paint and ancient plumbing. We found a hair ball in the bath when we first arrived in our room. On the upside, the location is spectacular. The beds are comfortable and sheets are crisp. The breakfast is substantial although I'd lose the powdered scrambled eggs. Reception staff and the breakfast receptionist were very good. Some of the wait staff in the morning too. Overall, fantastic location, but the bedrooms need a massive overhaul.

Friendly budget hotel in a good position on the prom, got car parked in car park,but wasn't aware of a £6 charge per day. Room was small but adequate, shower tini clean and ok for what we wanted , didn't get a seat view, but only there to sleep and shower. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice, only complaint was coffee in a large urn and very insipid. Stayed in room. 101, friends stayed in room 15, it was obviously refurbished, bright and modern, would stay here again

The staff were lovely and welcoming. The breakfast had a good variety and was plentiful. The hotel was in a great location. The bed linen and towels were very clean. Unfortunately those were the only positives. The hotel needs a complete refurbishment. Our bathroom was tiny with mould on the ceiling and walls. The shower was tiny. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The floor was creaky and wonky . Any pipes showing were covered in rust. This includes the radiator. The bedroom window kept sliding down. Our room was over the kitchen area and was unbelievably noisy. There was not enough seating in the bar and outside looked run down. I wish I’d paid a little extra for somewhere nicer.
