Cairns City Sheridan

Great room for the price… the deepest pool in all of Cairns

Something else: I cancelled the booking as I had mistaken the name “Sheridan” for Sheraton”. It was of course not a Sheraton by any stretch of an imagination

The cleanliness need to be improved. Found long hair in the shower on the floor. Vent was full of dust. Curtain right next to the bed had food on it that wasn't cleaned off. A towel left from previous guest left outside on the chair that was used to sit on.

This room was very basic but could have done the job if (I’m guessing) the maintenance staff weren’t banging, yelling abuse, coming and going constantly, entertaining, and get drunk or off their face on drugs in their area right next to the room we were allocated at all hours of the night No other staff on site at night Not a wink of sleep for us and an earlier flight… do not recommend, things need to change! (Receptionist was lovely when we checked in)

Cockroaches in room, stains on bedding and loud drug affected patrons making noise all night

Not enough parking, Too many people wandering around the motel at night that weren't staying there. Motel very dirty in hallways, piles of dirt and fluff just left there. No service to rooms over the three days.

This is a low-budget hotel, so the rooms are simple but well-aired and bright. The staff are fantastic! So kind and welcoming. And the hotel is well-positioned - 10 minute walk to everything.

Ice addicts hanging around inside the hotel premises screaming and swearing, i had to call the police twice, music blaring at 6.30am woke me (no security or staff in attendance after 5pm), place was dirty, no wifi or internet connection in room. I checked out a day early and went to another hotel even though i had paid for a 2nd night.

It's not the Sheridan but it's the next best thing I would recommend staying here it's just a short walk to the city centre, 2 pools to swim in friendly staff

The room was dirty , had cockroaches, was noisy until 1am in need of paint and maintenance, , would not ever stay there again

It was good need are left stairs make my leg sore everytime going up and down when you carrying things

Construction site in driveway ,Stair light switch with electrical wires hanging out of wall ,Tiles on staircases missing,floors in public areas dirty.

first time visit to Cairns so it might be the norm. overpriced for nothing

Photos are misleading. The pool site is so bad no-one ever uses it. My room was very out dated. No hanging space, dirty carpets, poor beding. Best was the cochrache vistor that came at night. Eeeek!!!

I would say this property is the dirtiest room I have ever stay in. I was worried that the bed would have bed bugs. For the $200 per night rate I expected much more

Arrived after hours to find each bed only had one sheet on each bed THAT'S IT, requested more sheets and blankets but nothing avaiable. The two kids had to use bath towels as their top "sheet" for the first 2 nights, and the adults had nothing for the first night. For the second night *1* single blanket became available (yay?) so the adults shared the single blanket by placing it horizontally across the double bed to at least cover the top halves of our body. On our third and final night more linen became available and we were finally given enough sheets and blankets for 3 beds and the kids were able to stop using towels as their blanket. For $755 for 3 nights I would expect linen as a bare basic. (Also this is the Sheridan NOT the Sheritan and it is not part of the Sheritan Hotel chain)

It was dirt and had mould on 90% of the roof and had just been painted over. Crusty old milk spills still in the fridge. Toilet and shower needed cleaning and you could feel the springs when laying or sitting on the bed. Pillows had mould stains and were discussing.

This hotel is old and dated, badly in need of renovation. In my bathroom, a patch in the wall had fallen off to reveal a dusty hole with old plumbing. The is no lift, so I had to carry my bags up to the second floor. Car parks are very tight. There is no dining facility.

Bathroom had a shocking smell, air vent was full of dust. Beds were old. Needs a lot of work
