The reception did not have my contact details from Wotif who did not pass it on to Mercure. So when we arrived, they told us they could not check us in due to plumbing problems. No rooms were available.
They eventually sweetened the situation with a free dinner and moved us onto Quest apartment.

Clean and lovely room. Pillows were great, unfortunately bed was very low and hard mattress.

Staff were very nice quite friendly
The room was ok, a little bland, the downer was the shower drain that blocked as soon as the water built up, which was off putting took 15 mins to drain before we could have the 2nd shower
Also dried vomit was apparent over the balcony edge, :( also off putting. The restaurant was quite good and staff there also very accommodating
