The location is perfect in the middle of CBD, surrounded by free tram zone transport and near Southern Cross Station, so if you arrived using sky bus access from the airport, it is walking distance to the hotel. I stayed for 6 days, and every day they clean the room, the staff were friendly and helpful, very recommended if you are looking to stay in the CBD area.

Only thing I could fault was the lack of cutlery, crockery, wine glasses etc. Great breakfasts and nice restaurant but very limited style of menu. So of course people have to go elsewhere for food. Apart from that I would certainly recommend the hotel.

Second time staying at the Quincy and honestly… she still slays. Perfect location — a super quick stroll from Spencer Street Station and an easy wander to Southbank for food, vibes, and a little cute-person-watching. Staff? Lovely. Rooms? Clean, well-designed, surprisingly spacious, and stocked with all the good amenities. And the place is quiet — like, “sleep like a log after a Melbourne feast” quiet. Would I return? Absolutely. Already planning Stay #3.

Staff upon check in did not provide good customer service. They did not inform/notify us even though our room was already ready, they said they would and even saw us waiting at lobby for hours. The staff checking us in spoke too quickly and didn't provide checkin information properly, out booking came with complimentary wine but she did not even give this either. Terrible customer service experience from this staff, who made it obvious she is not in the mood to talk with customers.

The preoccupation of the hotel with data mining and extracting personal details, excessively invasive check in requirements (that saved no time), determined avoidance of personal contact, online checkin when standing at reception were all aspects that detracted substantially from the appeal. I didn't stay there as a part of a marketing exercise, even if that is what the hotel management think.

The room was dirty with nail clippings on the floor, a safety pin sticking up from the carpet, what looked like dried blood on the quilt, dusty curtains, hair on the furniture. The bed was uncomfortable and the walls would shake whenever a neighbouring door was closed.

There wasn’t any major issues, just a series of small frustrations that all added up to a less than desirable experience. Confirmed on check-in that we were in a twin room, when we got to the room, it was set up as a King and had to wait for them to come and rearrange. Credit card wouldn’t work at check-in, found out later that charge is going through as international which is blocked on our card, they didn’t tell us it’s being processed as an international transaction. Ordered room service through the link they provided to us, called reception 25 mins later to be told the restaurant was closed (supposed to be 24 hour room service), not notified that this was going to be the case on either booking or check in. When checking out, found that we had been charged an international fee through the bank due to the charge going offshore. Received an apology but staff and manager claimed that they knew nothing about this, thanked us for bringing it to their attention and said they would investigate. They then proceeded to not advise anyone else checking in while we were sitting in the lobby.

Spacious rooms, fairly modern. Comfortable bed. We would stay again but a good deep clean of shower wouldn't go astray & prompt response of housekeeping would be appreciated when an issue was raised before 5pm & wasn't resolved before 11.30pm despite being re-raised at 11pm.. .. reception staff tried their best to deal with it.

Then we were going to the roof top bar for happy hour to find it closed for a event which we hadn’t been informed of, so had to go to the restaurant for full price drinks, which half way through we were all ushered out to the street due to a possible fire. Very disappointed with the whole experience to begin with but the staff later made up for it all by not charging us for the $52 drink bill and also gave us free coffees the next morning
