Full disclosure I had originally reserved a much more expensive hotel in Old Montreal for a family vacation and 18th bday trip for my daughter but came across Hotel 10 and noted its convenient location to Saint Laurent. I’m so glad I booked Hotel 10. This is an ABSURDLY nice hotel apart from the price but when you factor in its very reasonable price and location in Montreal, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. This was my first time in Montreal but honestly Saint Laurent and Sherbrooke is where you should stay- so much nicer than Old Montreal imo with cafes, restaurants, bars, breweries, art and music (Jazz Fest was a few blocks away) and also close to very trendy Saint Catherine. 10/10 stay- rooms were HUGE and very QUIET. AC was excellent. Just excellent stay.

They use a chemical deodorizer in the lobby, but there must have been something wrong with it, The hallway in front of our room was also overbearing as was our room with this same smell. When we brought this to the attention and let them know we couldn't stay there due to this noxious odor,, their only assistance was to apologize and say didn't they didn't see anything wrong with it. We had to leave the hotel as we couldn't stay in the room any longer due to our eyes being irritated, in overall chemical tasting air we were breathing in. We asked for a refund as this was not our doing, but they refused. I never had to leave e a hotel before, unfortunately management was asleep at the wheel here, as they value one night's small profit over a guest's discomfort, due to something that was the hotel's hotel's fault Not sure what odor they were covering or why they didn't look into it but what extremely poor service and policy. Would never stay at any Hotel 10 or affiliate. Went a mile down the road to another hotel and had zero issues, or noxious odors.
