Mount Royal Hotel

We had a lovely staff trip to the Mount Royal! Rooms were clean & comfortable/ updated and the location was fantastic. So many restaurants, shops and local entertainment outside our door. The only thing that was dissapointing was that only 4 people were aloud in the hot tub at a time, when there's clearly enough room for more. We did have a larger group so we all went in shifts but the common area attached made for a great communal space to lounge and enjoy warmth while we waited. Our group of 15 also enjoyed a team dinner at Brazen and WOW what an experience! Great service, great food, great atmosphere.

Hot tub was nice, employees were awesome and so helpful. Loved the location in the heart of Banff.

Amazing

Staff are the only good part of the property. Next building bar noise until 1,2 am; bathroom window shade did not close all the way down-used a bath towel to cover. I do not recommend this property for anyone.

Great location in the heart of downtown. Parking on site, two nice jacuzzis on the roof top with stunning views!

Clean rooms and nice staff

We are 3x repeat guests. We love this hotel and especially enjoy the rooftop hot tubs! It’s conveniently located on the main strip with many dining options available nearby and plenty of on site parking. Comfy beds, perfect shower & bath products. Always clean! See you next year!

Check in was simple and they did their best to make me feel welcome. Combined two reservations so I did not need to move rooms.

Lovely Australian girl at the front desk, great staff in the restaurant. Rooms are a good size, clean, beds nice and comfortable with fluffy feather pillows:) Nespresso coffee machine takes it to next level!

Great location. Large room, 2 good size beds. Negatives are that the Hotel is getting a little dated. The rooms and beds could do with an update. The plus is definitely the location, right on the high street, close to shops, bars, restaurant's, buses etc. great, friendly staff. We would come back.

I stayed here for five nights while visiting Banff. The location is excellent and makes it easy to explore the town on foot. The amenities in the room were adequate, with working towels, safe, fridge, and kettle. Staff were friendly on the first evening, and overall the stay was acceptable, but several issues affected the experience, especially given the price. The room itself felt mediocre. The electrical outlets at the nightstand did not work properly. Maintenance briefly looked at the issue but did not bring tools and advised they could not fix it. Upon arrival, the bed sheets and pillowcases had visible stains. We requested cleaning twice during our stay. The first time, the sheets we placed on the floor were put back on the bed without being changed. The second request was eventually handled and the sheets were replaced. The bathroom was not properly cleaned during the stay, with the shower and sink remaining dirty, and toilet paper was not restocked unless we called, at which point only one roll was provided. The room fan was quite loud, which made sleeping difficult unless kept on a low setting. While this may be expected in an older building, it still impacted comfort. Parking was also challenging, with limited scattered spots that required checking frequently after leaving with the car. The property listing mentions a shuttle bus, but this was not directly offered. Staff explained they could only suggest third-party providers rather than arrange transportation, which
