The breakfast is excellent. You get your choice of fresh fruits and fruit juices daily. There is a hot soup “caldo” each morning. Also there are a variety of breads, some days “arepas” and “empanadas”. Each day Diana greeted us with a smile at the restaurant. The staff is wonderful. I can’t say enough about how polite and helpful they are. The room was perfect. I booked the suite with twin beds. However, they were 2 double beds. It also had a living room where I had them set up a cot (which was a comfortable double bed”). It is chilly at night. They brought up more blankets and a space heater. The kitchen has a stove, fridge and microwave. The shower was nice and hot with plenty of water. The location of the hotel is great for visiting : Museo Nacional (right across the street), Avenida 7 (street vendors) ending in the plaza, the Candelaria (great food and excellent cultural experience), and Monserrate. It is about 20 min from airport. Cost 2026 to airport is about 80k Col roughly $25us Also no tips are required for taxis. I used UBER to get around and it’s actually cheaper and very reliable. Residencias has a bar with amazing panoramic views on the 30 floor. The Residencias Tequendama is NOT the Hotel Tequendama, they are connected however this is not a review of the hotel, only Residencias.

This is a downtown hotel. The major museums are next door. If you have business downtown, this is also the place to stay. If you are looking for the "fancy" parts of the city such as Zona T, 93 Park, etc, you are too far away. Suites are very large, quiet & comfortable. Staff works hard to maintain the premises, but this hotel has been around for a very long time and age shows a little bit. Elevators are superfast. Hotel has 24 floors. Good security. Friendly restaurant.

Hacia calor en la noche y no tienen aire acondicionado ni ventilador de techo. Además el desayuno fue el mismo por los 5 días que estuve. En 2 ocasiones recibí visita y tuve que pagar 100,000 pesos por la entrada de visita al hotel, aun cuando no se quedaría en el hotel.

Elegí hospedarme en este hotel con mi familia porque el nombre Tequendama es un ícono de Bogotá y tiene un gran valor histórico. Sin embargo, nuestra experiencia fue decepcionante debido al evidente deterioro de las instalaciones. Entiendo que se trata de una edificación con muchos años de historia, pero considero que el mantenimiento ha sido insuficiente. Encontramos varias lámparas rotas o fuera de servicio, uno de los dos televisores de la habitación no funcionaba y las toallas evidenciaban un desgaste considerable por el uso. Quiero destacar que el servicio del personal fue excelente. Todos fueron muy amables, atentos y siempre estuvieron dispuestos a ayudar. Lamentablemente, esa buena atención no logra compensar el estado físico del hotel, que no corresponde al prestigio y la tradición que representa el Tequendama.

Location-location-location. Excellent location to walk to interesting points of the city. Walking through Carrera 7, we visited several handcraft markets and typical restaurants. Very close is Museo del Oro and Plaza Bolivar. But not only location. Room was in excellent condition, very comfortable. Personal very helpful and kind. The only complain is that the family room has a big crystal in between the two bedrooms and also with the exterior of the building, not possible to block visibility at night with light turned off, even to the exterior of the building. For me and my wife and my daughter, caused that me and my daughter needed to dress with the light turned off to don't see each other, without mentioning that we hope the building in front didn't have a telescope and someone watching in front... This can be avoided easily with a blinder that can block completely the light, so looks really strange to have two blinders in these two crystals, that can see through them at night with the light turned on.... that doesn't make sense. Other than that, everything was great.

Recepção fala português o que foi um surpreendente "bem-vindo". Restaurante muito bom. Sempre me ajudando a encontrar soluções para minha doença celíaca. Quarto lindo, com vista para a cidade. Simplesmente amei.

Decent breakfast. Close to La séptima. It's not a bad hotel if you are traveling with family. Rooms are spacious. Usually travel with my family and new born, having a kitchen, stove, refrigerator and cookware makes it easy to prepare food for your kiddos. But, the place is extremely outdated and beds are super firm. If you don't mind very outdated furniture, limited WiFi and very noisy area this place will be fine for you if not I would not recommend.

I love this hotel!!!!! From the staff to the room to my breakfast!!! Ohhhhh and also the price. I recommend this hotel 100%
