I have been a fan of this hotel chain for many years and I believe that potentially it’s beginning to show its age. I’m not sure whether it’s the recent buyout by the Marriott chain or just the age of the property but we had to move rooms twice due to the air-conditioning not functioning properly and in fact the first two rooms we had both phones were not functioning and the second room privacy screen was stuck slightly open so we would have had no privacy. Andreia was incredibly kind and helpful and dealt with the issues and even comped us breakfast and coffee which was very welcome. I hope they can get their electrical issues sorted as I really believe in what citizenM are about in terms of comfort and affordability

Great hotel I’ve used before room was clean and quiet However the faff to turn on the TV all I wanted was to watch the news we went down twice for help then were told to chrome cast sometimes make things simple A remote control an on and off switch and no QR codes

This was excellent value for money compared to other options in the area. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, it felt safe for solo travellers, the communal spaces were modern and fun and excellently maintained and the room amenities were superb. Will be staying here again

while some of the magic has been lost since the Marriott transaction, it's still a fairly solid choice. The prices have gone up and the app is gone but the staff still great. Good coffee and breakfast.

Just got back from my solo trip to London and had a great experience staying at citizenM. The hotel was clean, modern, safe, and in a really convenient location for getting around the city. The staff was friendly, check-in was easy, and the room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable throughout my trip and would definitely stay there again.

Good location, easy check-in, friendly staff and free water station but no tea or coffee facilities in room, layout of bed was very impractical for a couple and the plughole in the sink stank.

Unbelievable breakfast, staff are very good. Toilet paper is shocking, along with the quality of the towels. Everything else, really positive.

I've stayed at many CitizenMs before, but this was my first time in this location. Whilst everything was clean, and the overall property was good, there were a few things that just soured the trip: - Only one lift was working - I could not set an alarm - The cables in the rooms didn't work - I couldn't get the TV to sync up with airplay - The shower head was leaking - The sink took forever to empty That said, I think I may have just been unlucky with this room (303).

No Aircon working so had to move rooms … new room Aircon didn’t work either so was given a fan. Terrible night’s sleep for £250 a night.

Nice

This was a great location, central to everything and close to the Borough Market (if you a foodie must go!). Across the street is M&S Simply Food (convenience store), lots of coffee and food options, and easy access to public transportation. Accommodation was clean, friendly staff, easy check-in and out. Overall would highly recommend!
