The building itself is beautiful. The bed was very comfy. Tea and coffee packs and a kettle available. Plenty of hot water. Quiet surroundings. We walked around the gardens and then walked to the local pub which is in easy walking distance. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices served buffet style. Park and ride into Cambridge is available just up the road and property is very close to the American Cemetery.

The building and grounds were magnificent and it oozed history and atmosphere. For the money we paid we were quite happy with accommodation which was basic but clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good also and we would not stay anywhere else if we visit Cambridge again.

The accommodation was basic, but had what we needed. The rooms were very hot and uncomfortable in the heatwave, so sleep was tricky.

not a good sleep the first night due to a machine in the courtyard for freezing purposes. apparently the normal freezer had broken. however after we complained we were moved to another room which was a lot better in fact an upgrade on our previous room hopefully the university of cambridge will rectify this in the not to distant future. the staff were excellent

Full English breakfast with sliced bread, toaster if toast required, cereals and sliced fresh fruit selection in buffet setting. Usual long benches and tables common in academic establishments. Excellent gardens and Capability Brown designed grounds as expected in large country houses.
