The Belmont Hotel

Very conveniently located hotel with plenty of FREE parking. The rooms are a bit dated but sparklingly clean. Will stay again.

Traffic-free walk into the centre, courteous and helpful reception and a very spacious room that lacked for nothing. As well as free on-site parking, as advertised, which is fast becoming a rarity. Highly recommend and we would definitely book again if staying in the area.

Easy to locate close to the city centre. Car park is a little awkward, but there is an overflow which had more room. Received a very warm welcome at reception with good instructions. It was a bit of a maze to find our room. This hotel has been expanded over the years so there are lots of odd little stairs and corridors. All adds to the quaintness. Our room was very spacious, clean with a good sized bathroom. Wifi was a bit hit and miss, but connected ok in the end. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Portions were large and the fish and chips were very tasty. Location is great for De Montford Hall which is only a 10 minute walk away. We had drinks at the bar before going back to our rooms. The bar closes at 11 pm which seems early, but this is now common in a lot of hotels. The bed was huge and very cosy. We didn't notice any noise during the night. Breakfast has both a hot and cold buffet selection along with cooked to order choices. I went for the eggs benedict which was very good. We had a very enjoyable stay and will be happy to return for any future concerts at De Montford Hall.

Room was clean with nice touches. Bottles of water by the bed and biscuits with the tea and coffee. Staff were lovely. Very polite and welcoming.

Everything about the hotel was top class. Reception attitude was great the sleep was outstanding and the breakfast in the morning was just unbelievable. Will use this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone considering the use of it. B Boyd

Clean room with tea and coffee, lovely big bright bathroom with electric shower and plenty of towels Breakfast was piping hot and plenty of choice but had a bit of a wait to restock Bar was warm and comfortable and friendly staff throughout

We had a lovely stay at the Belmont. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was delightful and comfortable, especially the bed. Good location and near to De Montfort Hall where we were going to a show.

Checked out at 0715 and could hear someone in the back office (no one on reception) so said "hello", the guy comes out and says "the phones there, you should dial 0"....I'm sorry I didn't see the sign, and maybe drop the attitude.

Clean room and excellent breakfast

From check-in to check-out The Belmont was exemplary. Hemant apologised for keeping me waiting 2 seconds at check-in which set the tone. Room was spotless. My evening meal was flawless. Bed was extremely comfortable and external noise was minimal. Will definitely stay again next time in Leicester.

Friendly welcome. The room was clean and fresh and had everything you expect. The bar service is efficient. We had a snack of soup/sandwich. Both were excellent. Breakfast is varied and good quality. We would recommend time and time again.
