We stayed here in December during Christmas market, and this hotel exceeded my expectation. Location is excellent! The room is nice & sufficient, and we were given a room with a view of the Cathedral and also over looking one of the Christmas markets. Breakfast is very good with many selections. Internet connection is also good. Staff from front desk to back kitchen are also awesome!

The location is perfect for visiting the Christmas markets. There is a food and drink market opposite and the main Dom market is a few minutes away. My favourite gnome market is just down the road and up a side street. Breakfast had a variety of selection. Hotel was clean. Staff friendly. The perfect base for us. I’d definitely stay there again.

Room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was in a great location. Good proximity to all the local attractions this made the experience. Especially as you have to pay to use the loo pretty much everywhere here, the hotel being so close to everything made it easy to nip back to the room during the day to use the loo if needed. Only negatives were, the hairdryer in the room did not work and the soap in the bathroom was “all in one” so was horrible for using on hair. It needed separate shampoo, conditioner etc ideally. Our room was right next to the internal door on our floor which was not great as every-time someone entered or left it slammed which as a light sleeper was less than ideal. We also had a cathedral view room which seems lovely until you get to the evening and a DJ in the Christmas market opposite starting playing music until midnight at full volume. This really is a good hotel though, would only take a few tweaks to make it a great one. Some warning on the market opposite at this time of the year would have been useful though as I would have much rather had the option to pay less for a quieter room not facing the noise.

Everything was great, staff were friendly and helpful, room was spotless and a great size. Loved the view of the Dom from our room, and the free waters in the mini fridge were a very welcome extra on a surprisingly mild November trip. All topped off with a great breakfast. Thank you, City Class, we will be back.

Amazing location, right across from Cologne Cathedral, museum and main train station..Acess walkable to all key areas old town and Rhine. Room excellent bed comfy and shower great. Many dining options and daily supplies available around area.Friendly and supportive staff. Safe and great stay for travellers... would definitely stay again.
