Lovely stay in a great location

Absolutely loved our stay. 3rd visit to Iceland and our favourite hotel so far. You can take a dip in the river by the hotel, lounge in the hot tubs,go for lovely walks,breakfast was divine, staff lovely,rooms and bathrooms modern and comfortable. Dont be put off by the exterior which is very functional.

Decent hotel - great views and hot tubs! Onsite dining is also a 5+. I’m giving this place 4 stars out of 5 due to our room being too hot and humid (no way to make it colder - even with open window; couldn’t keep the door open due to biting flies outside)

Fantastic location nestled amid the geothermal terrain. Nice facilities. Stella was friendly, helpful and welcoming to us when we arrived. Great breakfast.

Stunning views. The heated pool and hot tubs are great. Good breakfast. They let me into the room early which was great because I was exhausted. If you’re looking for luxury with the most updated decor this isn’t that.

Excellent accommodations and view of the river. My husband and I both have food allergies and the restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate us, even with fresh baked gluten free bread! We would stay again in a heartbeat!

We cannot give a high enough review of this hotel. We came for our honeymoon and wish we could come back every month. This place is so scenic and beautiful but is also close to town, restaurants, and activities. We loved it so much and encourage everyone in the area to check them out. The staff was fantastic and very helpful plus the restaurant was ideal for dinner!!! 10000 out of 10 stars.

Two major things to note: 1) the photos are not representative of the hotel rooms and the facilities - maybe they were at one point years back, but certainly not currently. For reference we stayed in room 2 - the bathroom was dimly lit, comparable to a hostel shower, and the bathroom fan was in need of maintenance as it was making a grinding sound. 2) due to our hotel room’s proximity to their geothermal oven, there was a continuous strong sulfur smell the entire time we were there. It unfortunately kept me awake at night. The bright spots of our stay were the hot tub and the breakfast buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful and tried their best. I would not stay here again for the high price per night - if I had known the two points above, I would have gladly driven a bit further for a better night of stay. It mainly comes down to the overall facility maintenance compared to the photos they show - it is quite run down and once you see the room, you feel misled and definitely it did not meet our expectations, which were based on the photos and descriptions.

Awesome location wirh steam coming out of the earth. Sauna and hottubs available. Very good restaurant for dinner. Also breakfasr was very well and luxurious.

Loved staying here. Was great base for seeing all the top things to do in Iceland. Restaurants and groceries right down the road.

This is such a cute hotel and it is so very peaceful! The food in the restaurant is excellent as well

This property is amazing. Hannah greeted us at check-in and showed us around the property and to our room. We took advantage of their onsite restaurant, Varma, it was fabulous. The hot springs right outside our rooms were a welcomed oasis after days of traveling. Highly recommend this hotel!
