We had a great stay at this hotel. The room
Was small but very clean. The property was nice and had plenty of amenities, like two hot tubs, a pool, and sauna. Once you see the placement of the hot tubs, you will be drawn to want to use them. The location was perfect for our stay. And the staff was very friendly!

Avoid! Disgusting property, toxic environment, left due to nausea, vomiting, headaches caused by their poor ventilation system of the noxious gases intruding into the room we were provided. Symptoms came on within 30 minutes of being in the room to two different people and escalated quickly. Reported to hotel staff, he said they are full and there’s nothing he could do. We advised that we must vacate for health reasons and find a new hotel. Property didn’t care.
We seek full refund. Radio silence.
In the new hotel the same evening, without medication, two hours later all symptoms resolved.
Ate dinner at their restaurant, before going to the room, $200 for two entrees, a salad, a soup (soup so terrible couldn’t eat - waitress didn’t care about a full soup bowl left uneaten - insultingly overpriced even for Iceland, very poor quality). Nothing about this property is worth it. Tons of options. We had amazing stays and food elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

The location and view from the river view room was very beautiful and unique seeing the steam vents. Also very close to beautiful hikes. The staff were very help and the breakfast was nice and consistent.
However, the property itself lacked the upkeep and presentation expected of a “boutique hotel” and didn’t match the pictures you see online. It had areas that were unkept so it didn’t make us feel the most comfortable. The room was comfortable but didn’t have a kettle so that would be nice for next time. Overall a pleasant stay.

Stella at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The property has a serenity spa vibe to it. It has a geothermal pool and 2 hot tubs. There is also a quaint river beside it which we swam in as our cold plunge. The food at the restaurant is awesome. Breakfast buffet was really good. Highly recommend this place.

Et rigtig hyggeligt hotel. Midt i de varme kilder. Måske et lidt slidt hotel, men med masser af charme lige ved siden af floden. Værelserne fine. Middagen på hotellet var absolut fremragende. Prøv hummersuppen. Eller lam i lakrids. Vi nød det og kommer gerne igen.
