The hotel was exactly as described. The food was superb too; we had an evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. The hotel is literally on the ring road which is good for access to nearby shops and bars but not as scenic as some of the hotels we stayed in on our trip that were more remote.

All very good except the breakfast. The location was excellent and the room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast at 8am tasted good but the service was poor. Not sure if it was understaffed or the only waiter available was new to the job. The yoghurt had run out, the fruit had run out, there was a half eaten pancake left by the coffee. The hotel in general had very high standards so I am guessing this was not normal for breakfast.

The location and aesthetic of the place was amazing. The free breakfast and staff were top-notch. The beds were not comfortable at all and felt like they were from the 1800’s, my only complaint. Other than that, highly recommend. We were so tired from our adventures, it didn’t matter. Also loved the offer to call if the northern lights showed, we believe they did call, but we were so exhausted that we could not wake up.

The hotel and staff were great, but we were a little mislead. There was a photo on their page on google that showed hot tubs. This is not the fault of the hotel as a customer posted the review photo, but the hotel should remove it because we book this place with the intent of using the hot tubs that they ended up not having. It is a good hotel and would stay here again.
