We stayed in 5 hotels across Iceland and this was my overall favorite. Very new, clean, and high-quality with all the amenities, in an excellent walkable central Vik location. The mountain view rooms are a worthy upgrade with a really great view. Breakfast and dinner were both fantastic in the restaurant. Very nice to have a minifridge so we can keep a few cold groceries on hand.

It was a heat wave and the room had the sun streaming in, the heat was left on high, no fan, no air conditioning, no solutions. They said open the windows which we had no choice to do but soon had lots of mosquitos and biting bugs. Plus, it was our most expensive hotel - not worth it. The view was a gas station! Dinner had very few choices. The server was rude. Yet my husband enjoyed the lamb a lot - the second best he had had in his life. The breakfast was ok, definitely not great as they did not refresh it often. Empty plate for salmon. No idea if it was good as we didn't get any. We found pastries amazing everywhere else but here.

The hotel was ok. Staff was super friendly and the breakfast was great!!! Our room faced the road which was a little noisy. If traffic bothers you ask for a room facing away. The hotel was centrally located in Vik.

We loved our stay! The hotel was clean, in a great location with a beautiful mountain view. The room was clean, and breakfast was excellent with both hot and cold options. Plus, the hot water didn’t have that sulfur smell. Great experience overall!

Book a room with a Mountain View if you’re not looking for a room with loud road noises which interrupts your sleep! Had an unpleasant stay due to this and the fact that the rooms are badly ventilated= super warm and if you open a window the road noises are even louder.
Unfriendly staff when we tried to get another room. Mediocre breakfast.

Die Zimmer waren sauber und gut eingerichtet. Duschkabine schloss baubedingt nicht, es ging also viel daneben. Ärgerlich ist die Badtür: Schiebetür mit großem Spalt, man konnte also direkt in die Augen der Person schauen, die auf der Toilette saß. Das Frühstück ist ok, das Personal war es nicht so: kurz nach 9 wurde bereits das Buffet abgeräumt und auf Nachfrage hieß es, Eier und der fehlende Belag seien aus. Kann passieren, doch dann gebe ich keine flapsige Antwort. Insgesamt empfehlenswert.

The entire Kria team was so helpful and friendly from the day we checked in to the day we left. Collin and Ester the bartenders made excellent apres Icelandic adventures cocktails and directed us to other unique experiences. Our room looked out to horses roaming in open fields with a view of The iconic Vik church. A big bonus is the location of the hotel which is very convenient to the Ring road. It also helped that the rooms are very quiet and have instant hot water and comfortable beds to relax after long days in Iceland.
