More like a 3 star hotel! Rooms small, basic uncomfortable beds and pillows. Average breakfast. Way overpriced for what you get!

Great property. Great service. Nice room. Marta our bar tender was fantastic. We were so close to the black beach and that evening we were able to walk down the beach and see the puffins. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Hotel Kría was overall very good. The property is conveniently located right off the Ring Road and is very well maintained. The room we stayed in was clean, well equipped, and exactly as described in the listing. The views of the mountains, beach, and Vík Church were amazing. The included breakfast was also very good. The in-house restaurant, however, had very limited menu options. The main issue we experienced during our two-night stay was with the Wi-Fi. It was difficult to keep devices connected, and even when connected, the signal strength was quite weak. Unfortunately, the staff were unable to do much about it. One staff member mentioned it was the first time they had received such a complaint, while another later explained that the routers had recently been changed, which may have been the cause of the issue. Aside from the Wi-Fi problem, we had a very pleasant stay overall.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views and friendly staff

Great staff and a very well kept property. Rooms are very small like you are in a huge city but it’s fine. Decent breakfast and the restaurant was solid. Bartoz at the check in was especially the highlight.

Great modern beautiful hotel in Vik. This place was the perfect location for our travels. Easy to find off the main road, and arrived just in time to order supper before they closed the kitchen. Rooms were very clean and beds were clmfortable

Hotel Kria had awful maintenance and wouldn’t fix the problems or offer us a different room. Truly disappointing. The thermostat in our room didn’t work - it was on maximum all the time - and the room was ridiculously hot. We had to open the door to the veranda to cool the room off and that made it barely bearable. Also, the bathroom door made an awful screeching noise when opened or closed. We reported both problems immediately and they did nothing to resolve the issues even though we were staying for several nights.

Fint hotell på god lokasjon for en road trip på Sør-Island, forholdsvis nytt, greit med parkering. Men ligger heeelt ved veien og harde senger gjør at det ikke blir toppkarakter. Også dyrt i forhold til andre hoteller jeg bodde på.

such a neat hotel! It was so clean and I liked that the entire window opened because it helped to cool down the room. The breakfast was really good as well.
