This was my first time staying at Java Lotus Hotel in Jember, and overall, it made a strong impression. I would consider it the second-best hotel in Jember, right after Hotel Aston. The location is very strategic—right in the city center and within walking distance of many points of interest, shops, and restaurants. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with good amenities and hygiene standards. The breakfast options were varied and satisfying. The rooftop swimming pool is a highlight, offering a great view of the city of Jember. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was not very reliable. It frequently disconnected, making it a bit challenging to work online. That said, I would still recommend Java Lotus Hotel as a solid option for both business and leisure travelers in Jember.

The bed sheets weren't white, so they were still stained… even though I checked in at night, and the towels didn't seem clean either. The TV wouldn't turn on, and I called a technician, but it still wouldn't work… Please clean the room, bed sheets, and towels even more.

Perhaps the 2:00 PM check-in time could be changed to something more flexible so that guests don't have to wait in line at 2:00 PM when some rooms aren't ready yet.

I booked two junior suites and was very disappointed. The wardrobe wouldn't open, and the white towels were faded. The TV was very difficult to operate. The lights were better in the deluxe rooms. The room was cleaned on the second day, but no toothbrush was added, even though the old one was thrown away... Disappointed.

Friendly and responsive service when needed. The hotel is older but still a good choice for families. The facilities are quite complete. The staff is friendly. The place is quite clean, although the hot water took a while to arrive upon check-in. Parking is limited, so you have to park on the side of the road. The location is strategic.

Overall, the situation is generally considered satisfactory. As a suggestion, I would like to ask the cleaning staff to maintain a calm atmosphere during cleaning. After all, guests staying at a hotel expect a peaceful rest. However, I heard the staff talking to each other in a semi-shouting tone, as they were cleaning different rooms. It seems like the Java Lotus Hotel can't be called a 4-star hotel. When I first arrived, I checked in late and it felt normal. However, once I entered the corridor, the carpet was dirty and unscented. As soon as I entered the room, the floor was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, yellow, and slippery. The walls were moldy. Oh well. The Wi-Fi was bad, the TV was bad. It's far from being worthy of being called a 4-star hotel. I asked for an additional 100,000 IDR breakfast, and once I ate it, I could only say it was a good thing my son didn't want to have breakfast. Spending 100,000 IDR on a limited menu and mediocre taste didn't seem worth it. The staff were also mostly chatty. I don't know what else to say. Cleanliness really needs to be improved.
