We are a couple. Our view through the window was completely perfect, it takes our breath away! we can see clearly Mt. Yotei in nearly, the staff are so nice and give us the best service, the transportation are very easy to catch up as there is a free shuttle bus from Kutchan station to the hotel. We had planned to ski but changed plans due to weather. The location is perfect for ski season with the gondola attached to the hotel (it wasn’t up due to warmer weather) but everything in the hotel from the staff, dinner, breakfast was top notch. One cannot ask for a better ski in/ski out location. Hotel also has ski/boot valet which was an added bonus. Hotel was clean friendly staff. Room cleaners were quick and efficient. Hotel was great, the little store down near the lobby is relatively expensive though. And there's not much except restaurants nearby for snack food.

By far not meeting (my) expectations about a hotel in Japan. Way too expensive for the outdated rooms, super expensive restaurants for below average service, food quality and experience. Not much to do around the area - most of the people around I noticed were getting the shuttle to Grand Hirafu village. Will definitely not stay here in the future and not recommend.
