What Guests Say About Their Stay

Jessica Kohn

The food is mediocre, at best -for really good food you have to go to Zijhauteneo - but the rooms and huge balconies all looking out over the ocean are wonderful and the location is spectacular. The only downside is there are a lot of steps and uneven surfaces, so it can be challenging for people with bad knees or balance issues.

The property is great for the staff alone. They really go above and beyond to satisfy their guests. Each room has a wonderful view of the private beach, and the local restaurants serve great food. I do recommend that they start to update the air conditioning systems as it can tend to be a bit warm in certain rooms that have an older system. Otherwise, it is great for couples and families looking to stay at the resort the entire time.

The staff at Las Brisas Ixtapa are excellent and always accommodating. The location of the hotel is wonderful and the sunsets are beautiful. The property itself is aged and very run down. There needs to be a lot of upgrades done before we will return.

Beds are not comfortable. Way too soft and worn out. Sheets are a bit rough. Air conditioning is ok but not enough to cool the room for a good sleep. Service is fantastic. Love the beach. Food is good and the cocktails are wonderful too. Enjoy the more rustic vibe. Wish the sleep was better.

The hotel was pleasant as always. The all-inclusive plan was very disappointing. I was told by management that this hotel has a hybrid plan and that is why the all-inclusive plan is limited to buffets and selected items on a menu. The same goes for the refreshments and alcohol. Nothing stocked in the mini fridge and only 1 tall bottle of water per day per room. We paid for the Brisas Club floor, and the lounge was clean, the staff was super friendly but again the food was sparse, and the espresso/coffee machine was out of coffee beans and milk for the 8 days that we were guests. Very disappointing to have paid for the Brisas Club floor and the all-inclusive plans. We have been visiting this hotel since 2011 and it has certainly been losing its charm.

Fantastic Staff! Excelente! Gracias!

We booked the Brisas Club Rooms that serve a light breakfast and a one-hour daily Happy Hour with hors d’oeuvres. Happy Hour was fine as well as the friendly workers. The breakfast was way too repetitive with bacon, little Weiners and dry scrambled (powdered) eggs, etc.. We had to go into Ixtapa for a decent breakfast. The worst and memorable part of our stay is that now there is coffee a machine instead of Brewed Coffee. Please Go Back to Brewed Coffee, Please!
