Excellent in all aspects. Room entertainment could be substantially improved by providing TV streaming services (NETFLIX, YOUTUBE, etc.

Excellent staff and great place to stay i enjoy my staying i would come back at Riu Plaza for my next trip.

Did not get into my room until 5pm after arriving at the hotel at 7am

The bed wasn’t comfortable and the windows were always blurry due to the humidity. Couldn’t see the city like I wanted to.

There was a dirty pillowcase when we arrived. The drains in sink ran very slowly including shower. Biggest issue was constantly having to ask for washcloths and towels. 3 in room. On arrival only 2 sets. Always an issue for asking for additional towels. Breakfast was 10/10. Visible mold in shower. Staff was very pleasant and sinks were fixed when asked to change rooms. Hotel itself was beautiful.

Wonderful

The staff were very friendly and courteous. Generally, the room was clean, but I noticed mold on some of the bathroom tiles. Also, the vent needed cleaning. However, the room was very spacious and comfortable. The view from the room was priceless! The hotel's location was ideal.

The service was good and the porperty looked very cleaned. I was glad they're able to help me with an early check in.

They kindly provided us with an early check in and attended very quickly to a couple minor concerns. The pool is nice, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the breakfast is great. The hotel is near a number of restaurants and walkable to the waterfront. We would absolutely stay here again!

I’ve stayed at many RIU hotels around the world, and unfortunately this location fell short of the standard I’ve come to expect. Service was inconsistent. There were no washcloths available for two guests, and when we requested them, we were told the wait time would be several hours. While I understand the policy regarding outside food in the lobby, it was very disappointing that there was no microwave available for guest use. When we asked the café/bakery in the main lobby if we could briefly use their microwave, we were told no because the food was from outside, which felt unreasonable for a hotel of this level. The property itself was clean and well maintained, but service could definitely improve. The all-inclusive breakfast was just okay. A major downside was the lack of chicken options — not all guests eat pork, and more inclusive food options should be considered. Lastly, our arrival experience was extremely frustrating. We arrived early knowing check-in was at 3:00 PM, but we ended up waiting over five hours for a room. Multiple guests, including ourselves, were left waiting and even napping in the lobby. This is unacceptable for an establishment of this caliber. Because of these issues, I’m not sure I would choose this RIU location again for future stays.
