Just perfect for young family with kids. bed was king size so my child can sleep in a better way. very closed with McDonald's, subway and cold storage (supermarket) so no worries for your needs. MRT just about 200 meters and there a bus station. Newton food court just about 1 station from Stevens MRT if you need any option. Even the bathroom have no doors but inside it the shower and toilets were separated by doors. AC was so cold and the kitchen have a lot of tools to support your leftover foods. definitely go back.

Local Etiquette & Safety

Navigating Tanglin with Cultural Awareness and Confidence

Observing how locals interact in public spaces can offer valuable insights into expected behaviour, ensuring you blend in seamlessly.

When visiting landmarks or dining in Tanglin, dress codes are generally relaxed, but modest attire is appreciated, especially when visiting places of worship or more formal establishments. This applies to everything from ordering food to boarding public transport, reflecting the orderly nature of the society.

Tanglin is a very safe district, with low crime rates and a strong sense of public security. However, as with any urban area, it's wise to take standard precautions with your valuables. Keep them secure and be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas. Reliable transport options abound, including well-regulated taxis and popular ride-hailing apps like Grab, which operate efficiently throughout the city. Having offline maps and essential contact numbers readily available can also enhance your sense of security.

In case of emergencies, Singapore has a robust emergency response system. Dial 999 for police and 995 for ambulance and fire services. For Filipino travellers, it's reassuring to know that the Philippine Embassy in Singapore is located at 20 Nassim Road, Singapore 258395. It's always advisable to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and unforeseen circumstances, providing an extra layer of security and peace of mind during your international travels.
