I had a very good stay at Mercure Singapore Bugis. The hotel is well located, making it easy to get around and explore the city. The room designs are not convenient at all. The doors barely gave you space to get in the shower, there are no closets, the entertainment is lackluster without the ability to stream or connect the tv to the internet.

The staff were super helpful. On New Years Eve they provided free refreshments up on the roof to watch the fireworks at midnight. Stored our luggage for 6 hours after checking out. Great location.

I was told my room was an upgrade but it was tiny with a bed on a mezzanine platform. Shower and toilet both had doors opening on to living area. No wadrobe or draws just 4 hangers on pegs. I was on my own and it was fine except for no iron or hair dryer but if you are a couple, a basic double room might be just too small (it had what looked like a sofa bed but if unfolded, no floor left). Breakfast was included and very good. Pool good.
