Location is great - straddling 2 beaches at either end. Staff are lovely, excellent breakfast. Be very careful regarding room choice. We had 2 during our stay. One was super modern and comfortable but the first was very very dated

The staff at Sand Sea Resort really take care of their guests, ensuring comfort, cleanliness, and transportation to and from the resort. We even had to book an early 6AM boat off the resort to catch our flight and they prepackaged breakfast for us! Our stay was 10/10 would come again.

Very spacious rooms, efficient check in and out. Sun loungers are few and we got told that we couldn’t move ours actually into the sun by the pool, swiftly ignored that. Breakfast is average and the staff there aren’t greatly helpful. Overall I’d say it’s expensive for what you get.the location however is bang on the money.

We stayed for 2 nights in a Deluxe Bungalow, which we liked everything about. The bedroom was spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom was large and clean, with a huge shower. We also had a large front patio, which we enjoyed. The breakfast is very good in the restaurant right on the beach. The food choices were good and what was supposed to be hot, was hot, and foods that were supposed to be cold were cold. The staff were wonderful, super friendly and helpful. Short walks to dining, shopping, sights. Well done Sand Sea Resort. We would stay here again.

This was a good place to stay. There is no bar at the resort which was unfortunate. Its right off of the West Railay Beach for beach access and reception is right next to the East Pier. If you are at the main pool the beach view is blocked by lounge chairs. Room was nice and cool and very spacious. The beds were hard but still sleepable.

Staff were friendly & kind. Rooms large & nicely cleaned daily (although often not until mid-late afternoon). Generous with fresh pool/beach towels. Lovely clean swimming pools! Excellent buffet breakfast included. A busy++ beach with great sunset views. Be aware of what supplies are in the room: on checkout, they tried to charge us for a 2nd bathroom cup that had never been supplied. A small, clear drinking glass was accidentally broken & cost us $5cad! Also note that they do not serve alcohol but allow patrons to bring it in themselves. Overall a lovely family experience at Sand Sea.

Wonderful staff, comfortable, beautiful property. This is quite a large resort, stretching from one bay to the other. We loved our stay here, and it is highly recommended! We suggest Long tail from Ao Nam Mao pier instead of Ao Nang. longboat is same price, and more convenient since you are unloading luggage on east Railay pier, 2-3 minutes from reception. Ao nang to West Railay means treading water with luggage and a longer walk through the property’s bungalows to get to reception. No alcohol served in this hotel but they state that you are welcome to bring your own, even to the excellent restaurant. The only suggestion is that the rooms in the two story building are fairly dark. It would be great if they install a bright lamp. This would not stop me from recommending this resort. Light is not a problem with bungalow units.
