Nusa Penida

About Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is the largest of the three islands off the southeastern coast of Bali. It is much larger than the better known Nusa Lembongan, though its tourist infrastructure is not as advanced as the latter. It is treasured with outstanding limestone cliffs, hidden beaches, and green hills overlooking the vast Indian Ocean. The north shore is the most densely populated part of the island and is where most tourism is based. This is also where the beaches and the seaweed farms are located. Most locals still earn their living from subsistence farming, although tourism has been on the rise in recent years.
