Suwa Lake

Lake Suwa is located in the temperate zone, almost in the center of Nagano Prefecture. The lake is 759 meters above sea level and has a circumference of 16.2 kilometers. It is the largest lake in the prefecture. The highlands are located in the upper reaches of the Azusagawa River in the western part of Nagano Prefecture.
