It is said that a monk in Edo Period planted the autumn leave trees and today it is one of the best places in Japan to view the autumn leaves, with approximately 4,000 maple trees in full color. Across the Asuke River, visitors can stroll along the old streets reminiscent of the inns that once stood here. Also, there are 11 different kinds of maple trees, so why not compare the maple leaves one by one?
Shikizakura is a rare cherry blossom tree, which blooms twice a year, in spring and autumn. And Obara is an area where you can enjoy "beautiful collaboration of red and white". Currently, about 10,000 Shikizakura trees are planted in the Obara area, providing the most spectacular view in Japan.
