Terminal Anak Air is an A-type terminal that began operations in October 2021 in Batipuh Panjang, Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. It has become the main bus terminal in Padang, replacing the Lintas Andalas Terminal, which now functions as Plaza Andalas, and the Bengkuang Terminal, which has been repurposed into the Padang City Hall.

Development History

The construction of Terminal Anak Air began with the groundbreaking ceremony conducted by the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, on February 9, 2018. The land for this terminal was cleared by the Padang City Government, while the physical construction was carried out by the central government. This marks a significant step forward in improving transportation infrastructure in the area.

Strategic Location

Terminal Anak Air is strategically located near the Lubuk Buaya Market and the Lubuk Buaya train station, making it easily accessible for residents and visitors. The terminal is approximately 9 km from Minangkabau International Airport and 3.5 km from the Padang–Pekanbaru Toll Road entrance. It can also be accessed by the Trans Padang bus on the Anak Air–Teluk Bayur corridor via the Bypass Road, making it a practical transportation choice for many.
