The 2025 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix will bring exciting races but also significant road closures. F1 Singapore road closures in the Marina Centre and Padang area will take place over seven days, from 18 to 24 September 2025. Visitors, including Grand Prix Singapore attendees, should prepare for these closures as they move around the city during the race week and encouraged to take public transport during this period.
Be it attending the F1 Singapore 2025 or just commuting through the city, planning ahead is crucial to avoid delays. Here is your guide to F1 Singapore 2025 Road Closure:
The road closures will primarily affect the Marina Centre and Padang areas, which are central to the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix circuit. While these roads will be inaccessible for most of the week, certain corridors will reopen during specific hours on four out of the seven days to ease peak-hour traffic flow.
Roads around the Marina Centre and Padang will be closed from 12:01 AM, Wednesday 1 October 2025, until 5:30 AM, Tuesday 7 October 2025.
Closures are necessary for circuit set-up, race operations, and dismantling. To ease congestion, some corridors will reopen during morning peak hours on selected days.
To check the live road closure map or plan your journeys, please refer to the Road Access and Public Transport Guide here for more information. Police officers will also be stationed along the roads to manage traffic and assist drivers.

During the closure period, a single-lane carriageway (A-Lane) will provide limited access into Marina Centre (except for buses and W/X/Y-plate vehicles).
Taxis and motorcycles are allowed to use the A-Lane at all times, except during race operating hours.
As the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2025 takes place on a street circuit, heavy traffic is expected around the Circuit Park. To support racegoers, MRT train services will be extended on race days (3–5 October 2025):
These extensions apply to both the North–South Line (NSL) and the East–West Line (EWL), making public transport the easiest and most reliable way to get around the city during the F1 period.
When planning your trip to the grandstand, check your ticket for the nearest recommended gate and choose the most convenient transport option—MRT, shuttle bus, taxi, or private hire car. Most gates are within walking distance of an MRT station. Do allow extra travel time as large crowds are expected around the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
About 20 SBS Transit services will skip selected bus stops in and around Marina Centre, Esplanade, Fullerton, and Suntec City.
Commuters are strongly encouraged to use MRT and walking connections to the circuit gates.
Note: MRT train services will be extended on race days. Last trains depart at 12:30 AM on 3 October (Fri) and 1:00 AM on 4–5 October (Sat & Sun), 2025.
Note: This gate is for authorised personnel and Formula One Paddock Club™, Sky Suite, Twenty3, The Green Room, and Lounge @ Turn 3 Hospitality ticketholders.
