Jodd Fair's view is one of the most popular night market

Bangkok is a city that just buzzes with energy, and for so many, the best way to feel that heartbeat is by wandering through its famous night markets. It’s where you can really experience Bangkok, from the incredible street food to the unique clothes and little knick-knacks.

Since opening in late 2021, Jodd Fairs Night Market quickly became one of Bangkok’s hottest spots. Many visitors call it the ‘Jodd Fairs Train Night Market’ because it replaced the old Ratchada Train Market. It was very popular in 2022 and continues to grow today.

The Jodd Fairs at Rama 9 was a favourite for many years. So, it's great news that the market has moved and is still amazing with a fresh vibe. If you're planning a trip to Bangkok or just want to go back, you should add this new Jodd Fairs location to your list. It's truly a must-visit spot.

Where is the new Jodd Fairs night market located in Bangkok, and why did it move?

The super popular Jodd Fairs night market has found a new home in Bangkok, and it's fantastic news for anyone who loves a good market. Before, the night market was located in the Rama 9 area, making it a prime spot for both locals and tourists. However, that old location has now been shut down to make way for a huge new skyscraper. The market has since shifted to Ratchada Road, a spot that's even more convenient for travellers, right next to the Cultural Centre MRT station

The relocation was needed because the previous lease agreement had ended, so the market owners decided to give everyone a fresh experience at a better site. The result is an upgrade that brings new energy and an even more exciting atmosphere for both locals and tourists.

What are the daily opening hours and is there a best time to visit?

Jodd Fairs night market is open every single day, so you can pop by whenever your schedule allows. The market’s official opening hours are from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, giving you plenty of time to explore, eat, and shop.

However, we think the best time to go is a little later in the evening, after 6 PM, once the sun has fully gone down. This is when the stalls are all lit up, and the whole place comes alive with a really cool and lively vibe. The earlier you get there, the easier it is to navigate, but the later you stay, the more buzzing the atmosphere becomes.

What are the best ways to get there from the airport using public transport?

Getting to Jodd Fairs from either Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK) is pretty simple, especially if you're comfortable with public transport. From Suvarnabhumi, you can take the Airport Rail Link to Makkasan Station. Once there, it’s just a short walk to the Phetchaburi MRT station, where you can hop on the train and go directly to the Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station, which is right next to the market.

Along with that, if you're coming from Don Mueang Airport, take the A1 or A2 bus to Mo Chit BTS Station, then switch to the MRT at Chatuchak Park station for a direct ride to Thailand Cultural Centre MRT. Taking the MRT to Jodd Fair is the easiest way, just hop off at Thailand Cultural Centre station (Exit 3).

If you’re already in the city, the nearest BTS option is Asok, where you can connect to the MRT and travel straight to Thailand Cultural Centre—perfect if you’re searching for “Jodd Fairs nearest BTS.
