If you've been to the Singapore Aquarium—previously known as the S.E.A. Aquarium—prepare to be amazed by what's coming. This isn't just a simple rebranding,it's a complete reimagining of how we experience and learn about marine life right here in Singapore.

Formerly known as the S.E.A. Aquarium, the Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa is undergoing a massive transformation, reopening to the public on 23 July 2025. Now three times larger, it promises a whole new level of ocean discovery, blending education, conservation, and state-of-the-art entertainment. With 22 immersive zones, the Oceanarium is designed to guide you from curiosity to a deeper commitment to our oceans.

More than just a rebrand, the Singapore Oceanarium aims to inspire every visitor,be it families, students, or marine enthusiasts—to become stewards of our oceans through innovative exhibits, interactive digital storytelling, and world-class marine habitats.

What is Singapore Oceanarium?

Singapore Oceanarium represents a bold transformation of the former S.E.A. Aquarium into a comprehensive ocean institute dedicated to marine education, research, and conservation. Located at Resorts World Sentosa—once home to the iconic Southeast Asia Aquarium Singapore and Marine Life Park Singapore—this expanded facility now spans 22 purposefully designed zones that take visitors on an immersive journey across both space (from shallow waters to the deep sea) and time (from prehistoric oceans to the present day).

More than just an aquarium, Singapore Oceanarium aims to inspire deeper knowledge, love, and action for our oceans. The facility is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and holds memberships in both the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums and Southeast Asian Zoo and Aquarium Association.

The oceanarium has also forged meaningful partnerships with top local academic institutions, including a five-year applied research collaboration with NUS and a two-year research collaboration with NTU's Earth Observatory focusing on climate resilience and marine conservation.
