1. Yiwu International Trade City

Yiwu is known globally as one of the best wholesale markets in China. It is where you go if you're serious about sourcing cheap China wholesale goods in bulk.

How to get there:

I flew into Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and took a direct high-speed train to Yiwu, which is just under an hour. From the Yiwu Railway Station, I grabbed a cab to District 1 of the market. You can also grab a ride-hailing service that is mainly used in China to avoid any language barriers.

If it's your first time, please wear comfy shoes, as you'll walk a lot. Take photos of booths so you can find your way back (trust me, it’s easy to get lost).

Nearby hotel recommendation: the middle option, you can choose Yiwu Baide Theme Hotel, while for a more comfortable option, this wholesale market is also near Shangri-La Yiwu.

2. Guangzhou Thirteen Hongs of Canton

Guangzhou Thirteen Hongs of Canton is one of China's wholesale suppliers, especially strong in textiles, silk, embroidery, and fashion accessories.

How to get there:

Getting there was surprisingly easy. I took the metro to Yide Road Station (Line 6), then walked about 10 minutes toward the old Guangzhou Port area along the Pearl River. The architecture stands out; you'll see old European-style buildings alongside newer warehouses and stores. If you’re a first-timer, consider coming in the morning as the market has just opened.

Lastly, you can also stay near the market, as this market is near hotels like Guangdong Nanmei Osotto Hotel Haizhu and Guangdong Victory Hotel.

3. Zhili China Kids’ Wear City

Zhili is often called the Children’s Clothing Capital of China, and for good reason. The entire area is packed with wholesale China suppliers focused exclusively on baby wear.

How to get there:

I flew into Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and then took a 90-minute taxi ride to Zhili. Alternatively, you can take a high-speed train to Huzhou Railway Station and then a taxi (about 40 minutes). The local market is centred around Zhili Children’s Garment City on Zhili Avenue. If this is your first time, the tips for you are to focus on your niche and prepare for QR payment, as this market encourages cashless payment.

12. Alibaba

As a small business owner looking to scale, sourcing from Alibaba changed everything for me. It is one of the best China wholesale websites for global buyers like me. What blew me away about Alibaba was the sheer variety of wholesale products available, starting from:

Electronics & accessories
Fashion & apparel
Home & kitchen goods
Beauty & personal care
Machinery, tools, and industrial parts
Custom-branded merchandise

You just need to create an account for free, search for the product you want to buy, and reach out to multiple suppliers via chat or simply RFQ (Request for Quotation). If you're a first timer, always request samples before placing a bulk order and comparing multiple suppliers.

13. JingSourcing

Another one of the best wholesale market in China is JingSourcing, a professional sourcing agent based in Yiwu. Unlike typical China wholesale websites, JingSourcing isn’t a marketplace—it’s a full-service sourcing agency that helps small and medium businesses source directly from manufacturers. They specialise in:

Custom product development
Private label and OEM production
Price negotiation with factories
Quality inspection
Warehousing and shipping coordination

You just need to submit a sourcing request on the website, a dedicated agent got in touch within 24 hours to discuss my product and quantity requirements. They sourced multiple quotes from trusted factories in Yiwu and nearby industrial clusters.

For a first timer, please be clear about your product specs from day one. If you’re developing a custom product, ask for a pre-production sample. Use their premium service if you’re scaling; it comes with deeper factory audits and better pricing.
